Como escuela bilingüe no tengo muchas quejas, mis hijos han estudiado ahí y las maestras y maestros que laboran están preparados para dar clases, lo que si no me agrada es que se ve un movimiento de docentes impresionante, en el ciclo escolar a veces se da el cambio de 2 a 3 maestros ya sea de secundaria o primaria, y las dueñas en ocasiones deben entrar a dar clases, a lo que no estoy de acuerdo, ¿qué preparación tienen ellas para estar al frente de un grupo?
Otra cosa de esa escuela es que son muy autoritarios, parece reformatorio, en primaria los alumnos trabajan con unos cosas llamadas contratos, que no les ayudan mucho en su desarrollo psicomotriz, solo se dedican a memorizar, contestar cuestionarios, subrayar lo que la maestra les dice, todo es muy mecánico.
A mi punto de vista ya son muy obsoletos los materiales que utilizan en primaria, deben de modernizar, es esta parte.
Y en secundaria es diferente en lo académico, el trabajo a veces suele ser o muy light o en ocasiones muy excesivo, a demás de que la prefecta tienen un mal trato con los alumnos, es muy metiche, chismosa e intrigosa, algunos profesores hacen tu trabajo bien y otros son muy exagerados.
Esa escuela era excelente hace unos años, pero ahora esta de mal en peor en todas las cuestiones, sin mencionar el pésimo servicio que se recibe por parte de oficinas, el ver su mal cara de las dueñas, yo opino que deberían de contratar a una persona más jovial para dar atención a papás.
Bueno en breve esa es mi reseña de este colegio, como todos tiene cosas buenas, malas y pésimas,response / report this review -

We are proud that we are such a prestigious institution in Querétaro. We have been working successfully for more than three decades and our daily work supports our resullts.
It's a shame that as a foreigner in our country, you express such negative comments of the institution that believed in you. This only shows your lack of professionalism.
Prestigious institutions comparable to Tecnológico de Monterrey, acknowledge our work, having many students every year getting the highest mentions in Mathematics and English. Our students are certified every year by the Univesity of Cambridge, a worldwide outstanding institution, being many times awarded with the highest mentions.
Someone like you with very little experience and who worked for us as substitute teacher, and for a couple of months, cannot lightly judge the work that we have been doing for decades.

I taught here as an English teacher briefly and want to express my concern for the education the students are receiving. I obtained my English teaching certificate from the University of Notre Dame in the US and was shocked to find that my 6th grade students were reading and writing at a mediocre 3rd grade level. The students have the ability to be very bright students, but administrators are more concerned about them coloring inside the lines and having worksheets to show their parents. Therefore, they end up studying the same type of sentences and are never exposed to a different, real-life variation and are lost when faced with a different sentence. The goal of an English school is to make a student fluent, not just give them skills for specific sentence structures. The pronunciation they are taught is also incorrect. When I began teaching, the students had been told to pronounce all of the S's in "isles" and that's only one example. The school "teaches" the students for three weeks a month and then takes an entire week to test them on what they learned. After three months, they then take an entire month to relearn everything they were previously taught. So, out of 4 months, they take nearly 2 months to review for exams. The students are not learning anything and are incredibly far behind. In public school in the US, students are expected to be able to write a 5 page research paper in the 6th grade. Here, they can't even write a coherent paragraph let alone a basic essay. I was also diagnosed with bronchitis and when I expressed my concern to the administration about being around the children while sick, they became very upset with me and expected me to be around the children and expose them to my illness. I cannot even fathom any school in the US who would condone a teacher being sick around children, but here at Colegio Charles Dickens it is expected that you teach even if you're suffering from bronchitis. Aside from all of that, I am most concerned about the students. Parents believe they are paying good money so that their children will receive a good education and go onto university. However, with what they know and how they are being taught, I fear that many will not know enough to make it into university. I have several friends in Queretaro, so I am well aware of what other schools offer their students and the excellent education they receive elsewhere. So think parents should seriously consider sending their students to another institution with better academics.
