Beautiful building. Art work is beautiful. Right in the center of a market place.

One of the larger towns in the Highlands of Jalisco known for its lavish beautiful cathedral and grand festivities, home to (The Virgin) Nuestra Señora de San Juan de los Lagos the second most visited church in Mexico. Also famous for its cajeta/dulce de leche and other traditional mexican candies.

It's always too crowded inside and on the outside. There are a lot of shopping areas for traditional candy and souvenirs, don't let the vendors intimidate you, they may not be selling authentic stuff. The cajetas trail is a must do so you can taste them all and decide which one you liked better.

This church was crowded, would be nice if it was a little more organized for the visitors but other than that its a nice and beautiful place!

This place is always full of People, its impossible to walk and see all the stuff, even if you want to eat something you have to wait to much time because of the people

Like most of the people comment is a religious place and magical where people from many places of mexico come to see our lady of San Juan De Los lagos in car,bike,walking or sometimes even walking on their knees to pay tribute or to show their love to the virgencita.
