I loved it.
Customer Service was great.
The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walking down hill to the main boulevard or downtown, it has the perfect location, quiet and clean.
To Move Around:
Take the bus.. I will recommend it. Cross the street from the hotel and take the bus that says "VALENCIANA" ($5.00 pesos less than a dollar ) to go to and from downtown, some taxis charge way to much and the bus its faster.. just make sure you seat all the way in the back.
To go Shopping:
You have to go to Leon for shopping/gifts it takes about 45 min from Guanajuato. To go to LEON: Take a taxi ($40-$50 pesos) to leave you at the bus station "Central Camionera" and take direct (without stops) bus to Leon ($60 pesos) you will have plenty of options outside the bus station when you get to Leon, no need to drive around.
You need to visit.-Plaza Calzar y Vestir (Good leather quality and prices) they do accept credit cards.
For Tours:
Talk to Jesus "chuy" one of the bellboys he will provide you plenty of options "Tour packages" the bus will pick you up at the hotel, very good prices.
To Eat:
All the food is great but, if you love Barbacoa or you wonder how it taste well you go to: BARBACOA BAEZ the tacos are delicious and the consume (soup) is great.
The pool was cold, but the people were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was convenient. Rooms were clean. Beds are double, not queen.
it takes a lot of food, but it's tasty
I attended just for a social evento so I cannot talk for the room but I can say that all workers are nice, they are friendly and educated
Very beautiful hotel layout like an old estate. The people are very nice and the room is well appointed with most things a guest could want
It's a great place to get party allá nigth long
Good location on top of a hill - enjoy a light walk to the city center. Nice valet parking, friendly and helpful staff, quality sleep - my room was right next to a street but it was very quiet.
Only thing I didn’t quite enjoy was the breakfast buffet - some fruits were not very refresh - seemed to me they were recycled from the day before.
Had my wedding in Guanajuato on a weekend, and the majority of my guests stayed here and complained of horrible service, it was very slow and inefficient. Rooms are ridiculously overpriced for what they're worth, since rooms are outdated. Some of our belongings went missing on the premises after handing to valet and hotel did not want to take responsibility. Horrible attitude from the staff. I don't know if this was just bad luck, but last time I will be visiting this hotel.
Great staff offering a really good service! Thanks
I tried the food in the restaurant. Maybe not the best, but still good and delicious.
Its a good place to Take a Break
Excellent hotel located near downtown. Nice and comfortable rooms along with other facilities inside the hotel such as restaurant, gym and pool. Great experience.
nice stay, nice breakfast (additional), a bit expensive but nice area, the service was not so professional.
Excelent and comfortable place.
Very near to downtown and excelent services.
The hotel is built in a beautiful Hacienda-like Mexican style. Service is top notch, with a friendly and helpful staff on hand. The rooms are a bit on the small side, as are the bathrooms. Decor is simple yet elegant. The rooms and other facilities are impeccably clean and well maintained. The hotel's restaurant is open until late and offers a good selection of Mexican dishes and other alternatives; the service can be slow but the food is good. The breakfast bar offered every morning is fantastic. Of particular note is the hotel's free-to-guests high speed Internet connection; it is blazing fast (50 Mbps upload and download), something you wouldn't expect to find in a town this old.
