Awesome place to hike and see the animals, the only issue is the many ducks running around. That's out of the control of the zoo, and though they can be a bit annoying, they did not detract from my experience.

I absolutely love it there. I've been going there since I was a baby 30 years later I still go visit every chance I get when I'm in town. My children love it. Large selection of animals, great food stands, souvenirs, and Love the train ride! ❤

20 pesos to get in. Wide space. Its a city park, museum, zoo and fishing lake rolled into one. Children come here to play Pokémon Go! and not much else. The museum part is self guided and I was the only one in there. There was a mummy from Guanajuato of a woman named Maria Mancias, who lived in the colonial days. The zoo has a hyena, chimpanzee, and several animals in cages. There is a petting zoo. For 10 pesos extra you can feed the goats spinach leaves. There is a train that goes around the park that is an extra 25 pesos. The merry go round costs the same. However, it squeaks and makes loud noises. No music. There are food stands at various points in the park.
