The place is great! Chalets are comfortable, bathrooms are big and we'll equipped. The pool is great. The house food and staff was excellent. The location is convenient the Majete too.
BIG thumbs up!
We had a bite to eat here before our safari. The food we fresh and tasty. I'd very much recommend to kebab.
We camped here for 3 nights and had the loveliest time. Simba and Buster the dogs were friendly, with Simba watching our tent at night. The shower was the best one I found in our three week stay in Malawi - always hot and powerful, no matter the time of day.
The braai was clean and charcoal was available when we asked for it.
We ate some meals at the restaurant. All tasty and hot. Would have liked a little more variety of the menu by the end of the stay, when I'd had schnitzel and chips a few times. The apple strudel was great but wasn't always available which was also a shame.
The pool is really clean, with lovely views of the Shire. It's unheated but this was perfect in the heat. It's not chlorinated but slightly salty, which meant my skin/ hairwasn't dried out afterwards.
Would love to come again.
Lovely setting good food great staff.
An oasis nestled just outside Majete national park. The rooms here are amazing with even the little things considered to give this place that 5th star.
The bar and pool (swimming pool but the pub game version is also here!) are great to chill in also.
The food served is exceptional and well worth the little extra money you'll be spending.
I stayed at Ng'ona lodge for 5 days in December. The lodge itself is beautiful, with picturesque views of the Shire River, a pool and large, clean, en-suite chalets. The owner, Monika, is very hospitable and arranged several game drives in neighbouring Majete park during my stay. Finally the food is amazing! I reccomend the chunky Ng'ona sandwich and the apple strudel! Overall I highly recommend Ng'ona for a break from the city, day trips and Majete visits.
