It's not necessarily a decent place and has a foul fish smell unless you are okay with the fish smell and high interaction with locals which only becomes an issue when considering security then you are good to go here

At Mufrasa Lodge I found Lavista, a very friendly local tour guide that took me to see the fish drying stall and smoking ovens, then on a big fishing boat he took me to the lizard island, for about 35 dollars both ways, where we spent 3h, swam with the thousands of colorful fitness that dwell there and we hiked to the highest point of the little island to see astonishing views over Shenga Bay, Cape Mc clear and Mozambique! They took me back during the sunset and we had a local fish dinner around the fire at the beach! Next day they took me to the top for the smallest hill where we got great views too. In the lodge, they offer huge jammy thick pancakes for breakfast and there is plenty of water, beers and sodas. The place is clean and very chilling for lazy morning book reading times. Just next to all the fishermen boats so fantastic to see how they repair their nets and fix their boats. Excellent backpacking experience! Ask for Lavista if you go there, great local guide.
