Friendly mid-range tourist and business hotel in Blantyre, Malawi.

Reasonably clean and friendly. Everything is fine, everything works. Overall very good value.

The real gem is the garden and pool area.

The Mount Soche pool is our favourite place for a family relaxation. It is one of the 'oldest' hotels in Blantyre and it has maintained its charm over the years. My husband used to swim in the same pool as a small child about 30 years ago when his family lived in Blantyre. Now it is our children that enjoy swimming there. The pool and the garden are well maintained.

I have had the privilege to stay at this hotel several times with my family; it has been notably consistent in offering good service.We enjoyed the buffet breakfast that was sincerely offered by willing staff.I don't take this for granted

They have one special room which is noted to have accommodated Nelson Mandela when he came visiting.

Blantyre is a beautiful part of Malawi. The hotel staff is incredible friendly. The hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel certain qualities of a 4 star but scales more towards the 3 star range, priced as a 4 star.

The resturant food is good for dinner, breakfast mmh needs some working on.

There isnt much to do there after hours.

Major plus point if you stay at Sunbird you have access to the Sunbird business lounge at the airport that comes with free snacks and drinks. Recommend for business travel

Loved the view on the forth floor and the food too. The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. Well, maybe I was too tired from the travel, but my experience was epic.

My stay here was very good (5days). The staff are exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, food was good too although I had the same thing everyday. It always came hot and I especially liked that they would call to let you know your food was ready and they would be bringing it up. The room was very comfortable and cozy. Gym facilities were excellent as well, adequately equipped for cardio as well as weight training. Pool looked good as well although I did not swim. Buffet Breakfast was very nice as well with a reasonable variety of foods to choose from. A few meters from the mall is wimpy, chicken inn and pizza inn. All in all a great stay!

Neat rooms, bedding and bathroom set. Nicely situated near a couple of good restaurants.

Gives a feeling of downtown Blantyre.

Most of the staff are pleasant, welcoming and helpful.

The breakfast menu has something for everyone.

The garden is nice and the bar is awesome. It has a great ambiance to it think nice background music, respectable crowd,nice and comfortable sitting arrangement.

Very good, chilly weather and quiet environment. Close to wild park, just 60km down mountainous winding road. So exciting to see the big 5 along one of Africa's big Rivers, Shire river that joins Zambezi river to Indian Ocean

It was a short time affair, w0ent there to attend airline award function last month, ambiance was pretty nice, hotel staff was good, and also the food was good (chips, fish finger, samosa and cocktails ,spacious parking.
