Makuzi Beach is situated on the lush Northern shores of Lake Malawi. We are 380km from Lilongwe, 50km south of Nkhata Bay and 460km from Blantyre. Situated in its own completely private bay, Makuzi is a family-owned business and we have retained the beauty and exclusivity by only having 11 individual comfortable en suite chalets, all with stunning lake views set in perfect manicured gardens. 3 of these chalets are Executive and 3 Family, the remaining 4 are Standard chalets.We also have a beautiful grassed campsite perched on the edge of our beach.
Makuzi has an excellent reputation for its cuisine, catering for all tastes and diets. Meals can be eaten in the restaurant with a spectacular view across the bay or privately on the beach or outside your chalet in the gardens.

Makuzi Beach has several activities to offer our guests, from lazing on the beach and snorkeling in the clear waters of the lake or kayaking to our small island offshore. Have a go at abseiling down a rock face into the water, or take a trip on our motorized dhow to snorkel or to enjoy the sunset from afar…
Offsite we offer Scuba Diving with a Padi Diving school and also Horse Riding trips.

We have a wide range of birds, including the beautiful green pigeons which grace us with their presence every sunset, sitting in a tree growing out of the rocks in front of the lodge.
