Big rooms but no viev from the Windows. You can get breakfast and dinner rated, no sweaming pool nor gim.

Room smelled like cigarettes, staff didn’t know much about the city and were quite difficult to communicate with. Construction work woke us up 7 in the morning everyday and the elevator was out of service during one of the days. Only good thing was the restaurant, the food and service was excellent.

from the beginning until the end of my business trip 90% memory comes about the hotel and its ambience and staff. I would rate 4.7/5.0 excellent spacious room with living room. nice amenities. lovely restaurant. staff from restaurant and kitchen are friendly enough.
chef Satish is well wrest at dishes in any kind of cuisine you ask for. Suneesh he brings dishes to your table his hospitality is wonderful, he serves you as you are his personal guest. still Satish dishes are mouth watering the fish curry.response / report this review -

I have been to several hotels in Male, but this has been the best so far. Professional staff, nice rooms, great location. Unlike other hotels, room was quite, which is something hard to find in Male.

The hotel does not provide a transfer from the airport with speedboat, so we're advised to take public ferry which cost about USD1 or MVR10 for each person. In general, this boutique hotel was much better than expected, clean room, comfortable and quality bed, bathroom with ample space, excellent internet, very friendly staff and wide range of breakfast choice. The check in and check out process were quick. About going out, you can walk around the island, in about 45 minutes since Male itself is small. There are a couple of restaurants, national museum, national library, national mosque, Muruku oldest mosque, morning market and lots of shops which I find it really convenient. All in all, it's indeed a wonderful hotel that I would recommend and come back to.

The Somerset Hotel is a cozy accommodation, has nice and friendly staff and a restaurant for a nice meal at ground level. Other restaurants nearby.
As mentioned previously by other visitors the hotel is situated in an living area where at this moment some building activities are pending.
For this reason I moved from the 3rd floor up to a higher floor (construction work next door at 3rd floor level during my stay).
Rooms are nice and with sufficient space. You will enjoy your stay.response / report this review
