It was an amazing experience, very exotic and one of a kind. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, we were met with kindness, explanations about everything from the accomodation to the food, how to drink juice from a coconut, and the swimming and snorkeling possibilities. I recommend this place especially if you are looking for an intimate and relaxing time with your significant other, we stayed at a water villa and enjoyed amazing views and daily snorkeling, very exotic, peaceful, surreal really. Rooms were clean and spacious, food was amazing and I do recommend you eat all of the local foods and fruits. There is not much of a nightlife but for us that was perfect since you can end every night reconnecting with your partner. Views are always different because the ocean seems to change colour due to the light and the skies and clouds. All kinds of fish to see while snorkeling or scuba diving, we also went with the jet skis and saw a large group of dolphins who were swimming and jumping right next to us. Prepare yourself for daily baby shark sightings, manta rays, even tortoises and larger sharks, not dangerous though. The staff were very hardworking and friendly, asking us every day about our time and plans and even differences with our culture and home country, making sure we have drinks and snaks available. Will surely recommend it to all of our friends and we are again very thankful to all the kind people who are definitely working very hard to make every tourist's holiday an unforgettable experience!

Medhufushi Island Resort is truly a tropical paradise, one of those picture-perfect little islands that you see in brochures. We booked a water villa through RCI. The view from our villa was unreal. It felt like we’d entered another world altogether. We paid for the full-board package plus sea-plane journey before we left, but I highly recommend booking the all-inclusive package ($115 per day per person) before you go, because it comes with unlimited drinks and a couple of free excursions. Mr. Kishore, the guest relations manager, was a great help in explaining all the options available. We went snorkelling and line fishing, and saw glowing flying fish and spots of bioluminescence in the water. If you catch fish, the chef will cook it for you as per your preference. We caught a grouper and red snapper, so the cook grilled it for us with some garlic butter. For Indians like us, used to spicier fare, it was a bit bland. When not cloudy and windy, it’s hot and humid. The Maldives is sadly not immune to the deluge of plastic that’s destroying our oceans. We did see a considerable amount of plastic waste washed up on the beach.

    Arrogance & Racism combined.

when trying to book a diving excursion at the Dive Center one morning during our stay, We were told that we will be informed about the booking soon, but they didn’t get back to us. Upon rechecking with them again, the treatment given by the staff was rude and expressed a racist behaviour.
We took the matter to the Front Desk Manager of the Hotel. He assured that action will be taken, but we didn’t notice any efforts. To cool down the issue, the Manager booked us for a snorkelling excursion, but smartly gave us the wrong timings. Upon meeting him again, his arrogance knew no bounds. It was surprising to see such people in hospitality industry.
Instead of solving the issues, this manager’s speciality was blaming & undermining the guests instead. No professionalism or protocols are maintained by the top management as well. This guy was pitch drunk and dancing with Guests at the Hotel’s bar on Wednesday night.
When it comes to the restaurant & housekeeping staff, they are humble and help out in every way possible. But the food quality was not upto the mark. The meat and fish used to be overcooked & chewy most of the times. Moreover, the options for vegetarians are very limited.

Heard & read about Paradise in different Mythologies where karma can only take you after mokhs. I don't know what will happen in our after life but, in this birth I could witness & feel what is Paradise. Sitting in the deck of our water villa deep in the Indian ocean & enjoying heavenly feeling.
