This resort has the longest outdoor swimming pool in the Maldives, an abundance of water-sports, the largest beach club and tennis and basketball courts. It offers a marine biology centre, an art studio and cooking classes.
Located at a 30-minute flight from Male’ and followed by a 20-minute boat ride to the island, the resort offers studios and villas with a private terrace and private pool. They offer endless tropical views.
For fitness lovers, it has a gym with personal trainers and provides classes like anti-gravity yoga, Zumba, aqua-bike classes and POUND® fitness lessons. Can hire bikes or electric scooters.
You can choose among the 10 restaurants and bars the property offers. Sea Dragon serves authentic Chinese cuisine while Forbidden Bar plays live music in the night. Start the day at Aroma with fresh beverages and baked goods.

Kandima was fantastic, it caters for couples and family holidays. The resort is a tree we new establishment, everything was quite modern and clean. They had a few restaurants, 2 big pools and a pretty big kids centre. Staff were friendly. Food was amazing and we definitely looked forward to it everyday. Would definitely recommend to stay here and we can't wait until we can bring our little one back!

The hotel complex and the rooms are very beautiful and clean.
There are a lot of different dishes, I personally loved quite a few dishes.
With all the great potential of this hotel, there is a serious problem with the service.
me and more people came out with an unpleasant feeling.
In my case it started from the fall I had. I arrived at the hotel's doctor, Zina.
She checked my leg and gave me a band-Aid.
The band-aid helped stop the bleeding but the next day I was needed one more. When I went to ask about more one she wanted my room number to take money for the band-Aid!
When I told the reception they claimed that the clinic are private so anyone who wanted a band-aid had to pay there.
Another worse case was when I left the hotel, in the billing details page they tried to add expenses that were not mine!!!
Only after I noticed, they apologized as usual.

This resort would have deserved full marks if the transfers from Male Airport would have taken a little less time ( took us 6.5 hours since we were onboard the Air India flight that lands at 10.30 local time and we reached the resort at around 5.15 local time). But the management covered it up by offering a free seaplane upgrade for our return flight so no complains on that issue.
The staff, the location, the ambience, the food, the service, the vibe, in short everything is amazing. We stayed in the aqua villa with jacuzzi and beach villa with jacuzzi both of which were beautifully done. Though the jacuzzis didn’t work properly so that can be left out. The head chef at their buffet restaurant Zest was really very helpful as he made eggless breads, naan, waffles, pancakes and desserts for us. The Mediterranean Restaurant Azure was also good.
They have a lot of water sports in their water centre Aquaholics. Snorkelling and kayaking equipment is complimentary. Kayaking for the first time on our own was real fun. You can rent a bike for a nominal charge. Their spa services are totally amazing, we had the most relaxing massage ever. They have lots of DJ nights for the party animals as well and ample spots for those who love solitude. The best part of our trip was that we got lucky to witness Bioluminescence in a secluded part on the shore, it was truly magical, like glowing LEDs in water , it was surreal, though we didn’t witness it again, but that one time was breathtaking enough.
If transfers aren’t an issue with you, definitely visit this place because it offers what biggies like Jumeriah offer in a budget !response / report this review -

The resort is looking absolutely fantastic, it is not disappointing and I would consider a 5 star resort if the service and the buffet would be improved, less extra expenses for activities and drinks for there costumers could be also a good option considering the final price of this resort.

OK, Kandima Maldives is the best hotel I've ever visited.
It seems like the management thought about everything.
We stayed in water villa with Jacuzzi. The room was amazing, you'd better take a room with view to the sunset.
Unfortunately there isn't hot water in the Jacuzzi so we didn't use the Jacuzzi much, if you want to save money, you can book the water villa without the Jacuzzi.
Another recommendation is to bring your own snorkeling equipment as you can take down the stairs from you room's deck and start doing snorkeling.
The staff is very kind and helpful - I proposed to my fiancee and they helped mt to arrange everything, it was perfect.
The food was very tasty (also for vegetarians).

The place is nice, but service isn't that great for the price. We got the aqua jacuzzi villa premium all inclusive package, the food was decent, there are several restaurants to choose from(note that some of the dishes on the menu and one of the restaurants are not included) oh and also in room dining isn't too. Alcohol wise, none of the cocktails came with the package, average price for the drinks are around $10 us, so we could basically just get local beer and the cheapest alcohol shots, and bad wine. The mini bar comes with 4 cans of beer and a bottle of red and white wine each, they only refill once per day. The wines are definitely not the best The resort lends out bikes for $5 us per day, but they are quite impossible to get, especially when our villa is at the end of the island, the walk is nice during night time, but daytime walks burns.
Before the trip I emailed the resort to ask if there was floaties I could borrow during my visit, the answer was positive, they also told me that I didn't need to make any reservations for them. But somehow when we arrived, the staff had no clue about what I was talking about, and told me the only floaties available were the ones sold at the store. So I went to the store to check them out but they barely have anything.
Don't book the domestic flights online with them, the price is a couple of hundred dollars cheaper if you go to the resort staff at the airport in person upon arrival.
I made a special request because it was my birthday, they replied "cake". So I was assuming I would get a cake, but I think they totally forgot about it, which wasn't that big of a deal, it was just the overall impression wasn't satisfying at all.
The room service was very slow, the power went out on the first day, we called the desk 3 times, and had to wait 3 hours until they sent someone to fix it. Also asked for a wine glass and had to wait 2 hours.
So yeah.. If you're thinking to book this resort, think twice before you do, there are plenty of options for the price.response / report this review -

I checked almost more than an hour ago & the A/C is not working. I called guest services & they said we are sending someone but no one has come. They also take more than 10 minutes till they answer your call. Not at all worth what i just payed. Really frustrating.

What an amazing place. Ticks every box possible:
Powder soft sand
Turqoiuse warm sea
Private pool villas on the beach
Excellent restaurants and service
Amazing snorkelling around the nearby reefs
Superfast free wifi everywhere
Best of all Kandiland, kids loved it. Very child friendly.

Beautiful Island with really friendly people. They always carry a smile on their faces which is just as refreshing as the place. The scenic beauty along with the lovely people make it an absolute 5 Star in my books. Thanks for the memories Kandima!
