We stayed here at the start of May for our Honeymoon lasting just over a week. We loved every moment. The island is picturesque and beautifully clean. The villas are large and really nice inside, air con kept the temperature nice and cold in the evenings. Despite the island being at full capacity we never really saw more than a few people (apart from meal times) and it all felt very private and spacious. The staff were always saying hello, and you were always met with a smile which really made us feel very welcomed, everyone spoke good English so we found it easy to talk to the staff. The reef was sensational, and we never felt the need to go diving, we saw sharks, turtles, octopus, rays and dolphins. Hours were spent searching the sea bed The food selection was amazing, everything from huge fresh prawns, to lamb chops, and pizza and pasta. I'm sure they'll be something for even the pickiest of diners. I have an allergy to milk and was always helped out with guidance and even prepared special deserts - thank you! Spa was great, we really recommend the couples massage. Extremely hot when we went, so make sure you have very high factor sun lotion especially with light skin!

Simply a fantastic island. The buffet was amazing with really good variety. The service and cleaning was top notch. I can't come up with anything negative for helengeli, and that's a really good thing.

We spent 8 days on this paradise island and all I can say is WOW. The place is incredible! The island is beautiful, the rooms are great! The staff are amazing! There is surprisingly loads today so you can do as much or as little as you want. The snorkelling is great with loads of fish, sharks and turtles to be seen. There is building work going on at a near by island but you would never know as it can only just be seen in the distance but does NOT cause any noise or light pollution as other people are claiming.
The only down side to this island that we could find was we had to leave and come home but that will short lived as we have already booked up to go back next year.
Please don't any negative reviews put you off as this place truly is paradise with some of the most amazing people as staff!

Very nice island, great food and fantastic for snorkeling. They are mainly beach Bungalow which are in front of the beach. Two pools, one of them is just an adult only. There are also some lagoon bungalows with a direct access to the sea. The transfer from the Airport takes about 50 minutes with the speedboat.

Oblu@helengeli. Our favourite Maldives resort so far (this is our 4th trip to paradise). Oblu has fantastic snorkelling in particular. Have seen turtles, reef sharks stingrays, eagle rays, dolphins and a nurse shark!

Me and my husband visited Oblu Helelengeli after the recommendations from friends and family !! I must say it totally worth it !! The Island is very small and therefore feels very private and relax.. we had deluxe beach villa which I recommend better then the normal villa because it has own access to the sea and it is on the better side of the island rooms are cleaned twice a day and everything is extremely clean !! Something I m always very picky about :) service in the restaurant and the bar is really good .. they see ur glass is almost empty they will immediately ask would u like something else food in the main restaurant was also very tasty but it gets a bit boring after a week ;) we did twice a dinner in the paid restaurant and this was really amazing experience and money price value is great !! The menu I order was with lobster in a 4 course menu for the price for 55 USD and my husband ordered the meat option for 35 USD , the good news we could drink the all inclusive Alkohol and drinks in this restaurant which means u really pay only for the food :) from the water activities we did a jet ski and we went to a sand bank totally recommendable .. and of course every day we did snorkeling .. last but not least to make the relaxation complete we visited almost every day the SPA.. the SPA manager Hasan knows how to treat his guest special !! Our treatments were customized based on our requirements and we really enjoyed every sigle visit in the SPA
other convenient facts to consider is that the island is one hour boat drive from Male airport which is included in the hotel price !! This saves u a lot of time and money in comparing to other hotels with plane transfer ..

The resort is obviously fantastic. The review is about the diving club and the watersports on offer.
The diving experience offered here is 2nd to none with expert instructors for all levels from beginner to well experienced.
I came here as a newly qualified diver and instruction and extra tuition received and attention to detail and safety was brilliant.

Also on offer is a selection of water sports such as jetskis speedboats, kayaks. Sup boards.
I highly recommend jet ski tours.
For a modest fee you can have a tour of the island on a jet ski and be taken out of Sandbank where there are giant stingray cycling.
Good value and Abu one of the guys was great fun

What a fantastic place!

Clean white sand and superduper staff!!
This is a must-visit!

Probably the best holiday we've ever had!
Everything was perfect, from beeing received at the airport in Malé, boat transfer with very attentive and friendly staff, and a reception with drums and clapping staff upon arrival on the island!

Food here is absolutely exquisite, anything tailored to your needs and the buffet is varied, so you feel like you have different options every day. The staff is SO friendly and helpful, just unbelievable how they make you feel welcome!!

Food is super tasty. Great place, we booked for 3 days; one day at the beach villa and other two days at the normal one. They upgraded us totally to a three day stay at the beach villa. Staff are very friendly.Even if you are on budget I recommend their all inclusive package deals. Highly recommend.

OBLU at Helengeli is heaven on earth!! Tremendously beautiful. The house reef is one of the best in Maldives. There is no con i found here during our 5 day stay.

Oblu has friendly staff, amazing views , beautiful accommodation with all facilities including WIFI..the rooms are luxurious well kept , the food is just delicious and the choice well you would have to stay here for a month to try everything, the desserts mouth watering, this is an all inclusive resort and would definitely recommend come over. There are many activities also incuded would say you have to give it a go diving snorkelling parasailing and the spa treat yourself..thank you Oblu till we meet again.

A small but very comfortable resort on the small island of Helengeli. Very friendly and helpful staff how is doing everything to make the guest's stay as comfortable as possible. There is also an onside PADI diving school.

Value for money for sure!! Great place in an excellent price, compared to other resorts! Of course there are better and more luxurious resorts, but you will pay double price and most probably with breakfast only, where here it is all inclusive and there is no debate about it! Very clean and spacious rooms. The personnel is always with a smile and eager to serve you. The food was fantastic! We gained at least 5 pounds in 6 days!! The only minus I can mention is the coffee. They do not know how to make a good coffee. My husband had to get into the bar and show them how you make a real coffee! Other than that, it is the perfect exotic place without having to pay a fortune!

Beautiful resort, amazing staff. Nothing is too difficult for them. The house reef is much better than the reef on the boat trip which is very impressive! We cannot wait to come back!!!!

Loved the all inclusive package, quality drinks and dining, beautiful setup that has everything one might need. Sometimes the bar staff could be a bit faster.
