A cozy and not too pretencious place where you can forget about wearing shoes for the whole period of your stay. This is just a little gem in the middle of the Indian ocean with mesmerizing landscapes, amazing sea beds thriving with life. Fishes of all sorts and colours, baby sharks, stingrays and mantas are an everyday experience. Semi water villas are just a treat for your mind and soul. A special note to the great LOCAL staff of Dhigufaru restaurant and pool bar always smiling and careful about your needs.
If you are looking for a home away from home this is the place for you.
Just a small note on the music selection during meals and aperitifs that could have been better choosing a softer and more relaxing moodresponse / report this review -

Stayed 12 nights in February 2018 for a bit more than 10'000 USD for an all inclusive package. Small and beautiful island. Good spots for snorkeling. Nice and very friendly waiters. Semi water villas were nicely furnished and confortable. But Hotel Management at the reception VERY unprofessionnal and unfriendly (wanted me to leave the room at 0950 for 'operational reasons' despite the published noon check out time. Asked me to pay for the last dinner, just because I did the check-out a bit early before noon and planning to have dinner just afterwards instead of the other way round).
Food at the restaurant was quite poor for a 5 stars hotel. No vegetarian meal , by the way!
It's definitively an overrated ☆☆☆☆☆. In my opinion, it deserves only a good ☆☆☆ stars.response / report this review -

Our best holiday so far. Resort and island with the turquoise lagoon and white sand beach are just fabulous; rooms very spacious, clean and comfortable, transfer from/to the airport perfectly organised. Food was delicious and service on a top level. Extremely friendly and helpful staff made our stay so pleasant that we would love to come back again at any time.

Lovely place for couples, weather was fine in mid September inspite if some rain. Friendly prifessional staff. Spa is specially nice. Ants bothered me little ( scale 1/10 but accepted as it is a natural island) so make sure to clear yourself and clothes from them if you lie on ground for long time. The architecture of villas and lighting is artistic. TV channels are limited. Advise to take ear plugs for the seaplane flight. The scenery is fabulous.

It is a new built resort, the surroundings are beautiful, artificially created, the landscape was modified totally into 5 🌟 resort. The villa is well furnished and with open shower and bathroom, really comfortable.
You may find tubes, concrete and iron in the water in front of your villa. We had a hard local food smell for 3 of 7 days stay in the villa and on the beach. We were supposed to stay in a semi water villa according to the chat with Dhigufaru, when we arrived, we have been registered to a Beach villa 302.
We saw on place sting ray, small sharks, jelly fish, the best place for snorkeling is the "jetty".
Various choice of food and drinks in the restaurant.
Based on our experience before that on Dharavandhoo island, all activities were very expensive (up to 10 times)5 🌟 resort.response / report this review -

This hotel is over rated, the main reason maybe they had a contract with an Italian travel agency so most of them are happy they speak and occupy the island like they are home .
Nothing is too special on this Island, beaches they are all belonging to the Italians. Those seniors stared at you if you pass their beach villas. If you prefer to live in the semi water villas, it means you are not enjoying the other areas but only your tiny bit at your 'back garden". 90% of the guests are from Italy. The food is a combination of local and Italian.
My baby girl was very popular there but we don't want any kisses from the Italian seniors and the employees. Hope they can understand babies are not as tough as adults, they might get sick or receive virus if different people kiss them.response / report this review -

STAFF: very friendly and helpful.
FOOD: average food, not many choice. No pork here.
ROOM: (semi-water villa) the room is new and comfortable, but it's not really a water villa, so I think maybe beach villa is better.
SNORKELING: from semi-water villa, you need to swim far to reach the coral reefs, that's what I don't like it. The best spot for snorkeling is in front of the restaurant. But water is not very clear, because it's windy all the time. And my husband also got sick because of it.
SPA: actually good
POOL BAR: great spot for sunset
WIFI: so slow
OTHERS: kind of overrated. Small island. If you don't drink much, AI is not necessary. (Besides juice is not included.)

Everything, We absolutely loved our stay on the beautiful island. Its not just the island and amenities that make up a wonderful resort, but also the staff, who were absolutely wonderful. Attentive, friendly and just beautiful people. Shout out to Chef , GRO who was amazing! We look forward to visiting you all again soon.

This hotel is hugely overrated, I am actually wondering if the positive reviews are real reviews. From the moment we arrived we did not feel welcome at all, another group of people arrived at the same time and had a full committee waiting for them, we were pushed aside and rushed to our room. On our way to the room the hotel staff asked my partner about the birthday surprise he was preparing for me. It was actually his birthday totally ruined the surprise I had planned.
We had booked an all inclusive package, what a waste of money: very average buffet restaurant, 2nd restaurant is closed, breakfast until 8:30am only (which is 9:30 their time for some reason), staff says no to everything In the evening, the bar was taken over by an Italian father and son doing Italian karaoke. No consideration for other people or nationalities. Karaoke made the place feel really cheap. Definitely not 5* entertainment.
The beaches are stunning but the island itself is nothing special, it feels more like a freshly planted botanical garden than an tropical island. And the views of mouldy sand bags from our semi water villa was seriously disgusting.
Did I mention the 5am loud prayer call from the mosque? Yep, a mosque on the island. I love and respect all traditions and religions, but this isn't how I Imagined waking up in the Maldives.
We complained to the manager about the issues we had on the 1st day: not one apology from him. One of the hotel staff offered us a bottle of wine in the evening as a compensation (how is that compensation, when wine is included in the all inclusive package we paid for)
Don't bother booking there. They ruined our first experience of the Maldives, and my partner's birthday.response / report this review -
