Wonderful athmosphere! Friendly staff. Beautiful place. Very clean and spacious rooms in good condition. Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. Perfect place to relaxation!

Nice resort but I felt that others on island were better value. Rooms were large with nice decor. Wasn't a huge fan of the food available at lunchtime (not many healthy options). As with other resorts in Mauritius, most of the wines available were expensive and pretty bad.There wasn't a whole lot to do in the resort except hang out by the pool or beach, which was a shame as the weather wasn't that great when we went (July). Catamaran day trip with snorkeling and dolphin watching was good fun though.

It's a nice and relaxed resort. They have loads of water sports available free of charge including wakeboarding. Drinks are somewhat expensive but appropriate for such a luxury hotel. Food is tasty and you have lots to choose from when on half-board, which is recommended.

We are having a fantastic relaxing holiday at Sands. The staff are extremely friendly and can't do enough to make one happy and comfortable. They really do go the extra mile! We love the position of the Sands as it is tucked away in a bay at the end of Flic n Flac beach so there are no passers by! The snorkelling is good and the dolphins easily accessible by the resort boat. We definitely would like to come back! Thank you to all the staff and especially to Veroshnee so beautifully dressed in her sari & helpful in the restaurant and Sandra in the boat house!

Amazing scenery, friendly staff, spacious rooms, relaxed atmosphere and white sand beach turquoise blue sea. Great variety in food, was superb. Such a pleasant holiday. Celebrated recent engagement there and will definitely be back.

On par with most five star Mauritius resorts. Clean, modern, spacious rooms, good location although somewhat isolated but everything you need is on site. Lots of free (water activities), never feels too busy even when full (thanks to well organised and efficient, friendly staff). Both breakfast and dinner buffets are very good quality, varied and extensive. A la carte restaurant is probably not worth the extra price, maybe just once or twice during your stay. Beach is good although a bit rocky / coral so recommend water shoes.

Stand up Paddle (SUP)! Great staff, (Dev at the dolphin bar is the man! And Selvina is a great hostess) decent food and lovely pool. Great beach for swimming as well. A short cab ride (return for 600 MUR, £11-13) to Flic en Flac town for dinners if you choose, as we did.
Free advice for hotel management: Charge an extra 3-5 GBP per night and provide "free" water rather than charging for it by the bottle. It's not that difficult and your guests will thank you for it. When you can't drink the tap water, it should be provided, plain and simple.response / report this review -

Very nice hotel situated in a quiet and cozy side of the island, reachable by car only. Service, food and entertainment are very good. The size of the resort makes it special and customer friendly. Shop and rent a car available inside the concierge.
The gym and the spa always clean and well managed.
The pool and the beach are almost integrated and for sure a plus of the hotel.
Full board is advised to avoid useless extra expenses: the kitchen is very well organized.
As everywhere else on the island the extra drinks are pretty expensive in the resorts, but that's how it works, so don't complain if a bottle of water costs 1€ more than usual.
Finally the rooms are very nice and spacious but not luxurious. The four stars are well deserved.response / report this review -

Very nice beach and very friendly staff. The reason I'm not giving a 5-star is because the water in the cafeteria is very expensive as other reviews pointed out. Each bottle of still water is around $3 and one bottle is only enough for two people. We were even notified by the waitress that we can't even bring our own water.
On the plus side, the free water activities are amazing. We really love the glass bottom boat trip and the water ski. Talk to the staff at the boat house to book them as early as possible so you can get the most out of your time. The location is a little bit remote so it would be better if you have a car around.response / report this review -

One of my favourite hotels for photos. Infinity pool looking on to Le Morne. Good value for money. Privately owned. The current (2016) leader of the MSM is married to the owner's daughter.

The service is impeccable and the staff very friendly. The food is of a very high standard. We were are half board so had breakfast and buffet dinner. We bought our own snacks and drinks as the hotel is very expensive. You can have these in your room only. A coke in a local shop 30 rupees 125 rupees at the hotel so you can work it out. You come here for a reason..you choose to spend lots of money or not. A very decadent place to be so enjoy it.
