Lovely place. Nice pool and private beach. Room was good, but you can find some lizard. Lateral see view is not much useful as most of the site covered by trees. Enjoyed bit of time spent there except food as being vegetarian not so much options available.

It's an awesome 4* resort. It keeps you entertained with different activities through out the day. Service is good. Location is adorable. It's very calm and relaxing with amzing activities and weather. It's a must go resort when in South Mauritius.

Thus hotel has been nothing less than first class. From the cleaners, reception, restaurant, bars and entertainment. Nothing is too much for the team to make your holiday special.
We had our Anniversary here just a few days ago and were mad to feel so special.
Food meets all needs with such a variety it's hard to choose what to have.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I loved this resort it was great staying here. We would like to visit this place again , the food was also good with all inclusive, we enjoyed very much. The beach was kept clean and the view was also mesmerizing. The staff was also very helpful .

Wonderful location inside large calm lagoon. (unless you are having a cyclone). Pools alongside the beach with nearby hotel bars. Still quiet areas even when hotel is full. Very good food choices, with snacks available if you just miss breakfast or lunch. Also 2 speciality restaurants you can book, which are included in the AI, Asian & Indian. Nicely laid out rooms with incredibly comfy king-size bed. Friendly obliging staff.

This hotel must be perfect for kite- or windsurfers and their families. And this is a review from someone who does not belong to the group.

- The building itself is nice, new and clean.
- In a walking distance from the hotel, there are no bars, shops, restaurants or ATMs. You need to take a taxi.
- The beach is nice, clean and quite empty, however it often gets very windy and as a result very cold to just lie there.
- The food is good in the general restaurant and very delicious in the 'Asian' restaurant. We really disliked the taste of the food in the Indian restaurant even though we normally love Indian food.
- There is always amazing live music during dinner time in the lobby bar. It is something different every evening of the week, but always special.
- Among the hotel staff in general, there are mostly very nice but also some grumpy people.
- The sport animation is really fun and friendly.

Most relaxing place ever. Would highly recommend. Great staff. Especially Kiran from front desk. He was very helpful courteous and most hospitable. Also great service and hospitality from Ravi and team at the bar. Hotel is clean well maintained. Great food. Enjoyed live shows.

Superb place. With a wonderful beach. Watersports are free except for scuba. Unlimited food and drinks. Has a disco, a live show theater, a spa and swimming pools all over the place! Had a blast. But food selection for vegetarians is not so great.

It is a relaxing and family friendly place. It is perfect for families or single people to relax. You can unwind and take a break from city life. There are plenty of activities. Hotel Riu Creole is the place to be and where it's at.

It was a pleasant stay in your hotel . It was very clean , toilet was full maintained , food was very good , for cold drink the glass was very cleaned , pool water was cooled for adults as well as children . Your staff was very friendly to us and very polite in nature . We will again come to your place and enjoy your facilities . Your facilities are very good and helpful to us . Decent place to stay, however food was sub par, cleanliness of the bed sheets, bath tub and room in general was very low standard. There were still hair left in the bath tub from the previous people. We booked the "Asian" restaurant hoping for proper Asian food but was met with a regular all you can eat buffet.

Now the good points were the swimming pool and the beach. Lots of activities were included such as kite surfing/wind surfing/paddle boat. The entertainment was really good as well. The live music, aqua gym and public involvement in activities were great. Staff were friendly enough and responsive to requests.

Very nice location, very nice hotel. Quite big with gardens and a amazing scenic setting. Staff are very helpful particularly Ashna and othet at the reception. Will recommend visiting. We were there for a 7 night stay and loved every moment.

It's ok but they need to Make many change like the room. First of all in my room I placed my bag in a corner between the wardrobe and the bed but dirty water was falling on it. It smells really bad.

Secondly , the desert were not really tasty. Everyday there was the same thing. The fruits were mixed and we had other fruit taste instead .

Thirdly , the kids club was not cool. No good services. The kids didn't like

For our last day , our checkout was @ 12 . It was 12.01 my small son ask for some water but they refuse to give . It was a little boy who was asking so l east you could give it to him .It was very bad . Worst hotel ever. Wastage of money

but still some renovation is needed.

This is honestly my first review ever on a non-living something! I am not too much of a review person! Never until now I had been specific for a place or food or ambience. And this particular law breaker was resort Riu creole Mauritius! Writing or expressing anything in regards to this particular place would be an understatement! This place is a total wow! Contribution of every aspect of hospitality right from cleanliness, excessively humble and ready to co-operate staff, breathtaking view of the lush green mountain standing tall by the shore to a crystal blue water body overlying the mesmerising white sand, to a drool worthy gigantic buffet of food is what makes it class apart! U name it and they have the facility! I want to talk about everything in particular. I hope u guys can gauge how overwhelmed I am with this place and the entire team of riu creole! can't help! :) There is a beautiful fountain at the entrance.. The lobby is great! ..The lights, decor and the upholstery is a grandeur! Not too loud and not too mainstream! U enter this place and ur at peace.. They have pretty decent gym and right next to it is the renova' spa. They have one of the most efficient and soothing sauna and jacuzzi I have ever been. I enjoyed it the most. No wait I guess I couldn't get enough of anything :) swimming pools r fun n the best thing is there's a cafe around every pool so u can have sip n dip under water whenever however! Food is cordon-bleu! They serve u enormous breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The bar is open 24hours. My room was the last room of the resort and it look nearly 10-12 minutes to reach from the main lobby.. but It was worth the walk! The house keeping would stack n load my fridge everyday! The beach was just a 10 steps walk from my walk through balcony! I loved every single minute I spent here. This place warmed my soul to ease and yet on the day of departure made me so insatiable that I have a relentless yearning to get back to it as soon as possible! A visit and stay at riu is totally worth :) I wouldn't say time well spent but rather time wisely invested! :)

To whom it may concern,

This morning we tried making a reservation at your hotel for Thursday 9th February for 1 night.

The first time my mother in law called, she was greeted on the phone by a Joe (or Joel) in the reservations team. He claimed that he could not hear anything and hung up on her!!

The second time I called speaking in fluent English. Then same Joel answered and had a very rude and u professional approach in the way he spoke to me.

I had to repeat myself 5 times in order to confirm my reservation request! I advised him that I found a much cheaper price through Expedia (approx $90 cheaper a night).

His response "why are you calling me? Book it through Expedia". He simply refused to help us and was very rude on the phone.

I run a business in Australia and this is definitely NOT the way my staff speak to customers!

So we have tried making a booking for this Thursday and as a result of Joel's rudeness we will not proceed with your hotel, however request that you treat this message as a formal complaint at the hands of your staff.

We are very angry and disappointed!!

Nice hotel but a bit windy. It is cool for kitesurfing which blocks nearly all hotel beaches and leaves not a lot of space for swimming. To find a nice swimming beach you have to walk 10 to 15 Minutes.

The restaurants are good except the deserts where a bit more research on the taste would be cool.

Concerning the pools they are cool but a bit windy and when you have kids you can use only the windy pools.

The only non windy pool is reserved only for adults even more difficult to understand when only after 50 meters the Riu for adults only starts.

The gardens are clean and nice and the rooms are nice but not so top as they should be for a four star hotel.
