Stunning country and city. So happy to visit my homeland after 10 years, will be writing a book detailing an authentic guide to mauritius and the sites, as written by a British born Mauritian, with a long beautiful family history on the island.

In need of a serious update and revamp. Most of the "restaurants" serve sub par food for upmarket prices. Beware of the odd one or two that inform you verbally or on written in memos on the menus that tax is still to be added to the prices which are already too high for what they offer.

Nice place, variety of shops and restaurants. If your are lucky you will catch some live music with local dancing.

This is the trendy area of the capital, the place to be seen in Mauritius. There are a number of bars and restaurants where you can watch the port activity while you enjoy the hospitality. The prices seemed reasonable and the area is clean and safe. A welcome retreat after the busy bustle of the markets.

Very nice walk through the waterfront, lots of relevant stores with various, different planes to eat. Not the best place to buy tourist goods as the market people are very shrewd.

A big mall near the sea. Some nice shops. Wear light clothes because of the heat of the capital.

Beautiful waterfront, good shops for souvenirs, still should haggle prices. Food places could be better. Not many options, expectedly high prices.

A nice thing to see when you visit Port Louise. Shops all kinda sell the same things. Use the waterfront as your base location for the day and explore the rest of the city too

WOW.. One of the most beautiful city of the world. Its really amazing. People are very friendly and most of them speak in English. you can enjoy much as you want. Not so expensive.Love it.Most of the time there is a passenger ship alongside all the time.

A calm "Oasis" in the midst of all the hustle & bustle of Port Louis. Probably the best place in town to sit & enjoy a drink.
