Restaurant is nice. But, food is average compare to indian taste. And very costly in 800 INR you will get one chapati, 2 sabji (they called it sabji..!!), Dal , rice!! Everything Limited..!!
Nice place to have indian food but quite expensive.
Food is decent. We had punjabi food.they have some non veg south indian dishes. quick service. Place is located at water front. So few tables on right has view of water front. It is on the 1st floor. Lift is available.
Disgusting food!!! Tasteless food!!! Not at all living up to its name. It’s like a big turn off for foodie indians like us to wait for half an hour and finally be treated with such bad in taste food. And dont even feel like stating how we felt that we had to pay such high prices for this food. Never to be recommended!
Nice food n service..and staff very courteous
Better than most north indian restaurants in Mauritius but that doesn't mean its very good
I went to Namaste at So Flo with my family. We were warmly welcomed by a gentleman and as we were great fan of Indian food we wanted to give it a try.
However we were very disappointed by service
We waited ten minutes to get menu
All other guest get apalam upon arrival except us
We waited 45 minutes to get our meal.
Food was decent but no woah effect.
Naan seems to have been put in microwave
Food is overprice
Service is average
I would not recommend Namaste at So Flo to anybody and i will never go there again
Very nice Indian restaurant. In a tourist area but not a tourist clientele.
Overall nice food. Music a bit loud and lack of some luminosity. Nice Indian deco design.
Good Indian food, but more commercial taste, nothing like an Indian restaurant in England.
Compared to the other restaurants in Cauden Water front it is very good .Food too was fine.
1) Ambience is less
2) The service is lil slow as seen around in Mauritius.
3)Though bit expensive worth the wait and money. Perhaps the location is the reason to charge a bit more.✩✩✩✩✩
4) Only the name is Indian HOSPITALITY IS NOT.
5) The waitress feels like we are eating for free
Very bad experience. We went there on 19th Jan for lunch. There were four of us.
Positives First :
1. Has good Ambience.
2. It is not easy to get authentic Indian taste food in Mauritius. This is one of the place where you can get it (but how would you like it if that also doesn't work out well for you, like it did in our case ?)
Negatives now :
1. Very very poor Hospitality and Manners from the serving staff. Almost makes you feel that you are not welcome there. Serving staff members would stay huddled up in a group chit-chatting.
2. We ordered Biryani as we were missing authentic Indian taste food.
When you find that your FOOD HAS HAIR and a piece of STONE, and you call the waitress to show it, what do you expect ? That they will apologize and take the dish back at least ? Your are expecting too much. These people would just take the plate in their hand, look at it and take it away and will give you a new plate so that you can continue eating the same food from the serving bucket in which there was HAIR and STONE.
3. While taking up the plate to check our complaint, the waitress drops fork on us from the plate. Obviously a mistake, but do you expect a 'sorry' at least ? No, you are expecting too much.
4. When you are shocked of these behavior and leave the place without finishing your food, do you expect an apology ? do you expect that manager would come in and say something ? Again, you ahve very high expectations of them. They will just take the bill and off you go.
By keeping the name "Namaste" they are attracting Indian visitors. But they don't have basic manners and respect for guests that a road side eatery in India would have.
Owners of the restaurant can pull up the video recording and check whole incident if they like.
Went for a Project Party over here. Neither appealing to the taste buds not to Pocket. Just because of it is located in the Caudan, It is busy with the wide range of customers.
Great food and the staff specially Saira banu thanks for your Good service
First of all very depressing ambience, poor service, absolutley not indian style food, pathatic food as discribed by our 8 year old son
Very Good indian food
