Excellent ambience, extremely gorgeous decor, enviable location,very wide spread of food at breakfast,and dinner.The only minus point is it's at a boringly long distance from the airport.

I'm going to divide this review in two parts. The first part will rate the hotel objectively. The second part will show my personal experience and might help you to find out, if you would enjoy a stay there. Maybe you like the things, i didn't like.
We are a young couple, no kids, looking for relaxing holiday. All Inclusive.
Objective Review:
Pro:
- Staff is very nice and tries everything to make you happy
- Food is good and there's a huge variety of different dishes. I liked the idea of "motto" nights for the buffet.
- Rooms are huge and offer everything you need
- A lot of free activities
Contra:
- One of my dresses disappeared. I don't want to accuse anyone stole it, maybe someone accidentaly took it with the used towels. Unfortunetaly they didn't make any efforts to find it.
- Rooms smell a little bit moldy
- Some of the staff members, who don't communicate with guests on a regular basis, seemed unfriendly. (Like gardeners, housekeepers)

Personal Review:
Unfortunately I don't have many positive things to say on my personal review. Most of the inconveniences were caused by other guests. I was looking for a relaxing, quiet holiday in a decent athmosphere. I'm not snobistic, but the behaviour of most of the guests was just unbearable:
- Some guests only spoke their mother tongue (they couldnt even count to ten in english). If the staff didn't understand them, they raised their voices.
- What annoyed me the most, was the sunbed situation. There were hundreds of sunbeds, on mabe 20% of them, there were acctually people. The other 80% were occupied by towels. People got up by 6 in the morning to put their towels on the sunbeds and didn't show up the whole day. Others had to lie on the ground. The hotel management wasn't interested in that.
- Guests complained about everything, everytime, everywhere. It was a bummer for me to constantly listen to nagging, spoiled guests, who were angry about ridiculous things.
- Some guests were drunk by 10 in the morning.
- Almost every night a "cultural" event took place. These events always ended up in loud european mainstream music almost until midnight. Our room was close to the bar, so it was impossible to sleep before midnight. In our last night, we really needed to get some sleep, because we had to get up very early (4am) to catch our flight. It was "casino" night, so we hoped it would be more quiet than the "party" nights. Unfortunately people kept screaming and i couldn't get more than 2 hours of sleep.

I also didn't like how the hotel handled their responsibilities for some things:
- We saw some staff members who worked more than 12 hours a day and 6 days a week.
- We did the hotel's snorkeling trip and nobody took care of the coral reefs! Other participants destroyed 2 square meters of corals to get back into the boat and nobody cared. If they go on like this, the reef is gone in a few years!

Last but not least I personally felt offended by the way, the hotel tried to rip guests off with the extern activities. Theres a "personal travel agent", called Angelika, who tries to sell you trips for ridiculous prices! It's ok to charge a little bit more, maybe even double for some conveniences. But seriously, five times more than the regular price?? We never booked any trip at the hotel and rather walked 5 minutes to the mainstreet to pickup some taxi.

Good hotel with extremely friendly staff and management. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The food was amazing and the beach clean and pristine. Made so many friends here. Would go back any day!

Just back from a week in Mauritius staying at the Maritim Crystals Beach hotel. The hotel is fantastic. We had a partial sea view room which was much bigger than we expected. Huge bed with a really good shower and bath. We were on the 2nd floor with a balcony which was private with a lovely view of the gardens and sea beyond. We had the basic all inclusive package which had a huge selection of cocktails included. The room had a mini bar in which beers and water were included and replaced daily. The food was really good always plenty to choose from. The staff were amazing very friendly. Finally the beach is stunning just paradise with plenty of watersports which are included in the all inclusive package. All in all we were very happy with the hotel and cannot fault it. I can definitely recommend it highly.

Can't beat the location or hotel only problem is the food, meant to be a different theme every night but you have fried eggplant,curry,fish or pork loin thats for lunch aswell and that is the same every day, no seafood unless you want to pay extra. Staff are friendly no complaints there. Been to Cuba twice and you get loads of different sea food and they are poorest of the 2. Shame really as location is fab, not worth the money

Arrived at the hotel and took forever to get checked in. Eventually got to our room and a light fitting fell from the ceiling. Maintenance eventually arrived and “fixed” the problem. The next day THE SAME light fitting fell this time it fell on my head. A member of the team apologised and assured me the issue would be rectified.

The level of service from staff is hit or miss. Many of the staff are great but are let down by those that seem disinterested and not willing to help at all.

The failed to replenish any of the drinks in our room even after multiple phone calls and conversations with staff.

Staff constantly got our orders wrong or fail to serve the food at all. Resturant booking is a real pain as I’m sure the hotel prefer customers to use the self serve buffet.

Overall, displeased with this hotel and we are only halfway through our holiday. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

Lovely Hotel, Beautiful pool and beach area Stayed 5 nights as we were watching the Golf at Anahita and this hotel was a good location and good price. We enjoyed an evening meal which was a lovely buffet, good selection of food. And then breakfast the following day was also very nice”

I had been to Crystal Beach Resort for my honeymoon. I am in love with this place. Our room was amazingly huge with a beach view. The entire property is very spacious and classy. Breakfast & dinner was awesome. The variety & quality of the buffet is truly value for money. Loved the desserts! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We did not miss our long walks throughout the property enjoying the lovely ambiance. The beach is just around the corner and a lovely place for an evening stroll. We also opted for a couple spa massage and it was amazing. Group events every night were so much fun. It’s a great place for couples & family. We enjoyed our stay and we look forward to be back soon. Might be a bit expensive but highly recommended!!

Requested to have 2 rooms next to each other which was not the case. We had to wait 2 and a half hours to get the other room.
Dinner & lunch service: staffs have a preference for European guests only (we are Mauritians)!!!
Lunch: As it was my mum"s birthday, a cake was to be served but i had to mention 3 times which took 25 minutes to come though it was mentioned while doing the booking.
Food was not bad
Breakfast: we were WOWedexcellent service
