  The most authentic and at the same time romantic place I have been to during my 10 day visit to Mauritius. The tast is absolutely amazing and the owner is super funny and extremely friendly. He takes his time to explain all dishes he serves to each and every guest. 100% recommemdable!!!

  Wir haben die guten Bewertungen hier gesehen und wurden absolut nicht enttäuscht. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt, der Gastgeber ist absolute spitze, nicht nur in der Küche, auch menschlich! Wir haben einen vegetarischen Teller aus verschiedenen kleinen Speisen bekommen, wo tatsächlich jede (!) Perfekt abgestimmt war. Von den Desserts unbedingt die Kombination aus allen drei probieren! Mir persönlich hat die Mousse au chocolait am besten geschmeckt, meine Freundin schwärmte vom Zitronenkuchen.
  
  Das war unserer Meinung das beste Essen auf der Insel.

  In just one word: "excellent". The food was the best in all Mauritius, we had eaten in a lot of restaurants in the West and in the north, but this was the best. Fresh fish, with 4 different sauce options. We had the Creole and the curry. For dessert we had 3 on 1 flan, chocolate mousse and lemon pie. It was fantastic.
  Excellent background music. And the owners were really cool. We had a wonderful time.

  Hands down one of the best restaurants I have been to whilst on my Mauritian holiday- by far the best in blue bay/ mahebourg and have been to the top rated A small restaurant with a small menu that changes based on fresh food and what's available. There were seafood, chicken and steak dishes. My partner and I had the steak as we had been having curries and Mauritian dishes for a few weeks. We were very skeptical but was so soft and tender cooked medium rare to our liking- absolutely divine. We were literally cutting through the steak with butter knives. Our entrees were delicious- chicken liver in sauce and garlic prawns cooked to perfection. Dessert we had the trio like the previous post and were the same- caramel flan, lemon frozen tart and choc mousse- hard to pick between them and even harder to pick what we enjoyed most. Even better was the lovely man serving us- such a kind person who will put a smile on your face. We are returning tomorrow thanks!!!! :)

  Nice relaxing atmosphere. Both appetizers are very good, (it appears to be a changing menu since it is done in chalk) the spinach and cheese dip as well as the fish and cheese dip. Both served with bread are worth having.
  Le Bistro is shown as a steak house but seafood and chicken are also available.
  Big selection of wine and the local beers are offered.
  The dessert menu is subject to change since it is in chalk too. The triple death a small portion of the three desserts offered is quite good. Chocolate mousse, carmelized flan, and a frozen lemon tart in a graham cracker crust.
  It appears the locals start eating at 8 so seating should be easy if you go before then.
