Nice place to dine in. Nice food with a wide variety to choose from. During peak times it is recommended to call and make a reservation.
Great restaurant with a standard taste, unchanged for years. It serves delicious food, and is a safe go-to place when one has guests. Because of its popularity, there can be a slight wait time for a table, so reserving a table is a good idea, even during week days.
Usually good it has been famous for decades. But recently the food wasn't as good. Was very disappointed last time. But they are renovating lately so hope it gets better. Overall value for money.
Outstanding quality food & great service. Can't fault it. Hands down some of the best (Mauritian) Chinese food you will get in Mauritius. Personally I like the decor of the place too. Waitering staff are kind and helpful. Price wise it is very reasonable given the quality of the food. Ambiance and crowd is very decent which makes it an enjoyable experience.
Probably the best chinese restaurant in mauritius in terms food quality and taste.. service is also very good but the overall environment is a bit too dark to my taste..
Always a pleasure to have family dinner there..everytime we come for vacation to our homeland it is a must to go to King Dragon..food was excellent..service good butthe waiter needs to put a smile on his face..
Been there more than once. Food is always good. Portions are very satisfactory. Staff well acquainted with menus and may suggest menu choices to best accompany each other. Parking facility available. Need to climb stairs, so elderly people may have issues. Clean. Lively. Relatively spacious.
Recommended.
The food is always nice there. I have never had any complaints, and the price reasonable. The waiters are nice. The place well decorated.
Chinese restaurant serving typically chinese food. Offers starters, soups, meats and seafood prepared in different dishes . The restaurant is cozy and service is adequate. Food is of good quality.
Quite disappointed with the food quality as it is tends to be more like commercial rapid chinese food. Taste should be improved. Furthermore, there's more & more foreign waiters who can hardly understand creole, french or english, so quite hectic to communicate.
Been there twice and both time were very pleasant. Staff are very friendly and food is great as always.
This restaurant came highly recommended but I have to say that I was disappointed.
The welcome we initially received was not welcoming. The whole place has a very dark and oppressive feel about it.
Even though it wasn't busy, we were not given a choice of tables to sit at. Instead we were given one right in the middle, so we sat like goldfish. With just one napkin between the three of us and no salt/pepper.
The menu is so confusing and unclear. No aromatic duck and no rice choices. No prawn crackers...maybe I was expecting too much. Rice was available, but not shown.
No chicken and sweet corn soup, so I had chicken soup, which was just about ok, but far too oily for my liking. The girls enjoyed their seafood soup though. The sizzling beef was tasty and the huge bowl full of fried rice was delicious.....but why so much? Enough for at least two.
The coffee (cappuccino) was the best I've tasted here in Mauritius.
There were a lot of staff that didn't seem to do much. We were totally ignored by a couple of them....I supposed because we weren't in 'their' area. Another was being overly attentive to the table behind me. I hated him just standing behind me, breathing down my neck. He and another sat at a table for a chat. I didn't understand that, as there is always something to do in restaurants. Like checking tables have condiments and napkins on them, for example. Once that's done, then go behind the scenes and chat, but not in front of customers. It just gave me the impression that they didn't want to be there and they didn't want us there either.
Overall I thought the meal was expensive. I've been to many many Chinese restaurants in the world, mainly in the U.K. and have had much better service, better tasting and choice of food and a sincere desire for us to return....for a lot less money.
Very fond and good memories. They are part of the Domain Anna group in Flic en Flac. The food is chinese commercial food. Good value for money. They have been going 20 years and more. Fond memories.
Always enjoyed dining here. Quick and crisp service. Food of excellent quality and personnel very helpful. Atmosphere is very cosy and relaxing.
