Description
Cool bedrooms with huge Indonesian double beds with thick mattresses draped in white linen and muslin all overlooking the beach, palms and ocean. White tiled floors, loos and good strong showers up & downstairs.
Kitchen and living room with breathtaking ocean views and plenty of seating. Shaded veranda with armchairs and huge cushions where you can snooze and read in the heat of the day or enjoy a pedicure or other in-house beauty treatments with a G&T. Two shaded and covered outdoor eating areas. All you would expect to find is there including a great dishwasher in the form of the lovely Ouma, the English speaking daily maid.
The house is also totally baby friendly with all you could need and more right down to soft spoons, high chair, baby bath, stair gates and top of the range travel cots as well as a great English and French speaking nanny!
There are plenty of CDs and DVDs, books, games and toys as well as the option of Internet access so take a laptop. Extras include a coffee machine, internet, i pod doc, smoothy-maker, boogie boards, pool toys, and snorkelling equipment.

Mauritius is, as you may know, a calm and slow paced island. Very spiritual with the loveliest people everywhere. You can chill out on the beach or go for it!
There is stacks to see and do right on the doorstep.. super shopping, both designer and markets, good supermarkets with reverting that you can get in the UK, superb restaurants, swimming with dolphins, golf, big game fishing, eco tourism, high ropes, quad bikes, walking and wildlife, fantastic diving, sailing, snorkelling, kitesurfing and all manner of water sports..
There are volcanos, giant tortoises to pet and super horses to ride brought right to your door, as is the (still alive!) catch of the day. It is only a short hop over to the beautiful sister island of Rodrigues, which is also stunning as well as many other islands.
However we usually just chill, read, swim,BBQ,sleep and repeat !
As well as our lovely English and French speaking maid and the gardener/ pool cleaner (who are included in the cost) we have the option of a fantastic set of staff and support there ( optional but there at very low cost if you wish ) so it really is a proper break.
There is the option of an inexpensive cook, (who will also teach you how to shop and cook Mauritian fusion or all the fresh sea food..) a beauty therapist and henna artist (who come to you), a driver, nanny and a guide. It is very safe on the beach as is the area. The house is gated with 24 hour security and night watchmen as it is on a very exclusive beach but you don't need it.
