  This building was an old cinema which in the 1990's was bought by Mammouth the first hire purchase shop in Mauritius. Afterwards, Mammouth left place to Courts Ltd who carried out same activities, i.e, selling home appliances, furniture some sport equipments etc.. again with hire purchase as their main selling means. Now it changed in proprietorship and is call Courts Mammouth Ltd. This company has actually many outlets across the island and when it first opened in 1985 at Bell Village it changed life of Mauritians. Mauritians could at that time purchase at this store to enhance their comfort and paying on hire purchase.
