With a consolidated turnover of Rs 680 million in 2021, Compagnie de Beau Vallon Limitée (CBVL) is a well-diversified group in the Agri-Business, Hospitality, Property and Leisure sectors. The Group is the owner 4,900 hectares of land in the Southeast and South of Mauritius split between two sugar estates, namely Riche-en-Eau Sugar Estate and Union Sugar. Its Agri-Business cluster is primarily engaged in the growing and cultivation of sugar cane. The Group has also expanded its agricultural activities into the cultivation of domestic food crops such as potato, onion, vegetables in greenhouses, palm heart production, and deer farming to quote only a few. CBVL owns the Union Sugar Estates Company Limited (USE) which is listed on the Development & Enterprise Market of Mauritius (DEM). CBVL together with USE, is the main partner of Copésud (Mauritius) Ltée, the largest potato producer of the island.In addition to its Agri-Business activities, the Group owns the Southern Cross Tourist Company Limited (SCT), which is also listed on the DEM.
