This is must see on Mauricius to have some overview about island history and of course well known stamps. Real ones are enlighted 10 minutes every half an hour (no worries, guide will notify you) to protect them. No photo allowed unfortunetally.

Amazing place for philatelist. Its most valuable stamp according to me is the one of "Queen Victoria II" which is estimated to be worth around $4 million. For those who might be thinking of touching the stamp, it isn't possible. Place has been maintained properly for years and has somehow a colonial look.

I visited blue penny museum on visit to port louis and caudan waterfront.
I read about it TripAdvisor and decided to go as there was nothing left to do on north tour which included onlynport louis and caudan.

Its small and nice museum with old maps ship model postage stamps

Highlight here is 1853 penny stamps which costs 2.5 million dollars..

Souvenir shops has exciting items though costly
    Entrance fee 200 mur
Visit if you are history buff or into stamps
