Government plant nursery and vegetable seed outlet. Some products are available over the counter; others have to be ordered in advance. They also have tissue-cultured orchids. Subsidised prices and good products. Friendly staff

Basic place.
Very short opening hours.
If you have a full-time job it is almost impossible to get to the place unless you take time off work.
It closes 1 hour for lunch in spite of short opening hours.
You have to order some fruit trees (even though commonly grown) a long time before you think you will need them.
You get the impression the clock has turned back 70 odd years or so at best.
Plants are labelled with names but basic information such as height or spread are omitted.
For flowering plants it is not possible to know flowering period(s) nor flower colours, etc which makes planning and landscaping difficult and frustrating.
Height, spread, shape and habits of ornamental trees are not indicated either nor are fruiting periods indicated for fruit trees.
One gets the impression the place is run as a basic service/hobby rather than a business.
Staff try to be helpful and prices reasonable.

You will find fruit trees plant such as papayas, guava, mangoes, garambole and flowers at very good price. For some grafted fruits like atemoya or provins litchee tree you will need to make an application. Open on Saturdays morning also.
