The place and the entertainments are great. Minimum grooming needed for the waiter in red polo shirt. Kissing clients and using foul language (loudly). Do your job dude!

We visited this pub for a few drinks and really had a great time. There was a live band performing (which happens most nights) and they were quite good. The first impression and service is completely on point. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy your time this is a great place to visit.

Food was good, but service terrible! We had a table in the corner of the restaurant, and were constantly overlooked by waiters. Wanted to order another drink on many occasions, however, before we could get any of the staff members attention, they had walked away. Not once during the few hours spent at this place did anyone ask if we were okay, or if all is fine with the food, another drink etc.. Also seems like the bigger tables with more diners takes priority and receives the attention. Good food, decent vibe, but just felt like we didn't fit in and felt uncomfortable because it was just two of us, as opposed to other tables with 4+ diners. Pathetic service!!

I come from Germany, first time i stay in Mauritius and the Banana's a great bar with very good Service and special Livemusik. A mix of international music. There are nice girls and a relaxed athmosphare! Please excuse my broken english!
At Mauritius i spend a good time, but if you want to get to Mauritius please book 2 Weeks or more, because there is so many to visit, the waterfalls for example and many great beach with white Sands! You could eat spezial Mauritius Meal , a Mix of Chinese, Indian, French and Creol!
Ich spend a good time and would be back in the near Future!
At last, Banana's a very good place for Nightlife

Great bar in the heart of Grand Baie. Live music most nights. Some really good staff. Restaurant a bit pricey and not that authentic but ok if you - like - ravenous. Get there for Happy Hour which lasts typically about 3 hours.
