Valentino Brothers is a family owned and run concern that operates from Malta. We pre – date many and the company is now being run by the 3rd and 4th generation. Our facilities are well appointed and our selling outlet and offices are based in St. Venera. This puts us, more or less just off Malta’s main road artery, within a ten minute drive from the airport and a few minutes away from most of our clients. We have additional warehousing in Marsa, right on the water’s edge in the Grand Harbour.
We source, select and do the purchasing ourselves – and in turn sell. In other words, we know what we’re selling and this is indeed so very important. The last thing we want are items left in our stores because they fail to match the grade. Hence, our purchasing and requirements pivot around this model.
Our Sales Team is made up of three individuals; Mario, George & Peter Valentino whilst the store keepers, Jason, Martin and Seki back us up in an exceptional way. Whilst our main desire is to sell whole bundles we also take pride in catering for the individual who comes to us to select a few specific pieces. This is one of our strong points – we continually open our bundles and prop the wood up. This makes it easy for our clients to sift through and hand-pick accordingly.
Our office is mainly and conscientiously run by Victor Valentino who carries decades of experience. Mark Valentino, an accountant by profession handles the financial aspect of the company. Patrick Valentino, a lawyer by profession handles legal and compliance issues and is attached to our administrative centre. We don’t have a CEO or COO – we work together, take collegiate decisions and respect our suppliers and our customers. The phone is answered by Mario, George or Peter, not necessarily in that order – and you won’t have to press any further buttons to get an answer. In a straight forward fashion we can state that we look forward to our day at Valentino Brothers.
Sourcing is generally done by Victor Valentino and Peter Valentino and contact from interested suppliers is always appreciated and welcomed.
On an international scale our forte is our long list of contacts and the span of time we’ve dealt with each and every one of them. We know what they can offer – and they know what we expect. Nevertheless, we are always sourcing and running due diligence exercises on new and potential suppliers. We only purchase from reliable sources and at the end of the day we and or our clients can trace the source and ask the questions we wish. We can, without difficulty put the end client in touch with our supplier - It’s a bit like purchasing from a brand.
As a company, our forte is based upon the knowledge transfer and information passed from father to son and cousin to cousin, from the older generations to the younger.
We import, more or less from world-wide. We carry a wide selection of American Timber together with Hardwood that we import from Africa. We also import a variety of man – made boards that range from Plywood to MDF to Chipboard. We also cater for the building industry and besides importing Film Faced Plywood we also import Green Mesh Shading, Tarpaulin Sheets and two types of Jacks, besides others.
