I offer Sport Psychology Services to people of all ages inexperienced and elite performers. Sessions may be booked for individuals and teams. Issues I handle regularly include anxiety, concentration, pre-performance routines, team issues, problems at club level, everyday life issues, preparing for a big event and more.
I have vast experience in top sport and in most sport in Malta having worked for 13 years as the Malta Olympic Committee's Sport psychologist, attending two Olympic Games, two Commonwealth Games, one Mediterranean Games and several Games of Small States. I was also the Sport Psychologist for the national sports school from its inception to January 2020.
I am currently the Sport Psychologist for the Malta Football Association (since 2012) and have also worked on the international scene including with the Irish Referees Association and in Norway and the UK too.
Other performance areas I have worked with include a number of businesses, sniper shooters (on the Pope's visit to Malta), Eurovision Song contestants, dancers and politicians.
I have a First Degree in Psychology (UOM), a Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology (Manchester Metropolitan University) and a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University. My area of research is on the Transition of Maltese Footballers from Malta to foreign leagues and transition intervention programmes.
I lecture full-time in Sport Psychology and Sport Management at the University of Malta as well as guest lecturing abroad. I am currently the only warranted sport psychologist in Malta.
