One of our favourite restaurants in Macau. We last dined at Restaurante Litoral last December during the Xmas holiday period and had a very good meal. On the occasion we dined a bit late, after the restaurant had cleared out a bit. It was a full house when we arrived for our 8.45pm reservation - something you need to have for weekend diners at this famous restaurant in Macau.
During our dinner we enjoyed the Arroz de Pato (duck rice). Theirs is one of my favourites in Macau, the rice is seasoned beautifully, there was plenty of duck and the dish was topped with chorizo and a couple strips of roasted pork belly. It tasted very good as we have come to expect of this dish at Litoral.
We also ordered another favourite, the African Chicken, which this restaurant does well. Not my top choice in Macau, but the version prepared here is of a nice mix of ingredients and very flavourful, something easy to enjoy if you enjoy richly flavoured dishes. The chicken itself is not as plump as other restaurants, this would be my only issue I have with what is served here at Litoral.
Full from our mains we skipped dessert this time around! In short, the food was very good and much enjoyed on this occasion. Service was a bit slow at times but this was understandable given the full restaurant when we arrived. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces.response / report this review -

good Portuguese food. but have a tough time finding the restaurant as the taxi driver do not know where it is. you should show the taxi driver the picture of the restaurant. as some taxi drivers are old, have difficulties in reading the address and they do not speak english

Stopped by here for lunch after a visit to a ma temple. Had the best ever squid with vinaigrette salad. The dressing is very good and refreshing especially after a hot day outside. The chicken and rice we ordered was a big portion. Was probably half a chicken in it.

Delicious Macanese food. The garlic shrimp is beautiful. So is the vegetable soup. For dessert, we ordered chocolate soufflé and tiramisu and they were excellent.
The portion is very big. You can get full from just a soup and appetizer. Don't go for a full course meal.response / report this review -

Excellent Macanese-Portugese food with a nice cozy ambiance and all the classic local dishes. This includes Portuguese friend rice which is an interesting hybrid dish cooked with tomato sauce and containing olives; cod which I would recommend the pan fried one I had which came in a lovely buttery sauce with a whole potato that was cooked so well it almost melted in your mouth with the butter. I didn't try the clams which is another Macanese staple but heard they are excellent. Well worth a visit.
