Five stars if only for the cricket coffin exhibit. Worth checking out and has a series of elevators to get down from the fort.

Nice museum explaining the blending of the Chinese and Portuguese culture into the distinct Macao culture . There is small fee to visit (equivalent of about USD 2). Shows a village reconstructed, with Portuguese and Chinese artifacts.

Really fantastic museum that was free on the day that I visited. Its very well laid out with great information and a ride range of ways of displaying the information from interactive things to maps, to animals to large displays and models. The location is also great on top of the hill forte with the cannons dotted around, nice landscaping and a great view of the city.

Very rude staff at ticketing counter! I presented a HKD10 note, mistaken it as HKD20, and she just passed it back to me without saying a single word. I then asked her if she do accept HKD, she replied with a very impatient and rude tone: It's 15 Dollars!
    Alright guys, welcome to Macau!

A museum that explains Macau's history and culture with many informative and eye catching exhibits and displays. Located conveniently near Monte Fort and Ruins of St Paul. Air-conditioned and well maintained. Can consider dropping by here if you're already in the area and if you're a museum buff.

Does an okay job with the history of Macau. Laid out nicely, but definitely leaves one wanting more information. The building is in a cool neighborhood and gives a great view over the city.

It's very much worth it to go here. I love that a lot of their displays are interactive. There's 3 floors and at the top, you can go out to the fortress.

Really nice museum, for public transport: get down at Instuto de Accao Social (7,7A,8) and walk to R. de Dom Belchior Carneiro where u can find escalators all the way into Macau museum and to the top of the fort. Afterwards, u can walk downhill to Senado Squre! Save yourself the hike up!

Excellent museum with a very complete collection, interactive expositions and easy-to-understand explanations on Macau's history. Definitely #1 on my list (I've been to lots of famous museums in the U.S. , Mexico, Panama, China, Japan, Australia, etc.) It has a very extensive collection of antique artifacts, clothes, instruments; it not only shows items but also has exhibitions on Macau's cultural heritage, traditions, and historical characters. A treat for museum lovers

Museum was constructed inside and under the fort. The history, culture, relationship between China and Portuguese interpreted in 3 stories building. The exit of the museum bring to the top of the fort.
