I did not have a good start.
Water was dripping from the airconditioner to the head, to the chair and to the table.
Menu was too difficult to navigate for me - too many choices with not enough photos to understand the dish and no idea of the size of the dish.
Vegetable salad was ok, but should add oil and vinegar by myself. Bottles are with spray pumps and you need to push with force and hold firm. But bollles are oily, so I have finished with all hands oily.
Suckling pig, loster rice. Taste was ok, however the presentation and details were very average.
Watress could not speak neither good English nor good Chinese and was a bit messy.
Those guys from Michelin must got completely different treatment
For the price level there are much more better choices around. I don't I will come here again or recommend to my friends.
Edit: I took a look inside the kitchen, and I saw only 3 foreign hired cooks. All the place is run by Phillipino labours.

The Damage (no drinks): MOP 600-800 for two

Lovely little dining area in Taipa village. Very popular for Portuguese fare but quite pricy imho. Hits include their Gambas and African Chicken

Walked in without any reservation. Croquettes were salty. Steak was a bit better. Paella came with lots of rice(can serve 3+ ppl). Don't have a high expectaion of Antonio being a Michelin star then you could have a decent meal.

I ordered clams for a starter, a steak for me and the wet octopus with rice for my partner for lunch. The clams were perfectly seasoned and the octopus was very tender with a balanced sauce. The steak was slightly overdone.

Service was very poor, with our waitress refusing to take our plates to allow me to have the steak to myself, insisting she portion the steak and serve it to both me and my partner. The waitresses continued to chat disturbingly in a corner. Our experienced was tarnished by the poor service.

I met Antonio 10 years ago when there was no menu you just got what he cooked on the night. The food was great then and is great now . Congratulations Antonio you have come a long way in ten years since I've been here.

Good things first, delicious octopus salad, clams and duck rice. Skip the Afrikan chicken - but the side- gratinated potatoes was absolutely delicious! (Do order it as a side!). The service was good overall, just one wait staff in particular who "gossips" about the customers at the counter thinking no one can hear her!

Delicious authentic Portuguese cuisine. If you order the Portuguese sausage they will prepare it in front of you with a side grill. The seafood soup was to die for. Great cozy feeling and excellent customer service.

My wife and I had an enjoyable lunch here. The Wet Seafood Rice Antonio Style was very delicious. The sangria was brilliant.

The staff were friendly. Prices were high.

Very traditional Portuguese restaurant. Great food, service and environment. Is not for budget, but every dollar well spent IMO.
Goat cheese toast entry is great and very special to me. The flamming banana desert is wonderful. The main course we order are as good as expected. Extra credit given to the babies friendly crews!

The clams, goat cheese appetizers are incredible. African chicken, seafood rice, and paella are also great. The wine we had (one of the cheaper ones) also paired very well with all the food. Trust the service staff's recommendations.

One note, the salted fish is super salted flavored. Almost too flavorful for myself. But I have never had so much taste/seasoning packed into fish. Make sure to use the garlic butter on the fish.

I have seen some negative reviews on this place. Based on my experience, those must be one off experiences. I just understand them based on my visit.

Also, this place isn't cheap. I went with a group of 8 and it was just under $100 usd a person. But that is with wine and meal.

The food equals Portugals best restaurants. Especially the clams and sardines were superb. I was treated with outmost courtesy and excellence. Will come back next time I'm in Macau.
