I've eaten here a couple of times now, and I have to say, I'm still very impressed! The food is bomb, and I have dreams of their gnocchi. The ambiance is great, and it's especially nice in the warmer months when you can sit on the second floor patio. Staff are prompt and attentive.

Very good place! After spending 1month in the Mongolian countryside, we wanted some Western food and took nachos, a pizza and a burger with drinks, all this cost us 60,000MNT. But the nachos weren't needed! The courses are very generous and the restaurant offers bread with tapenade. Thé service is really nice and we were served quite fast. It is quite expensive for Mongolia, but if you are looking for nice European/American food and if you are hungry, it is worse it :)

In short: The Best restaurant in UB. It's a fantastic place that delivers a true Mediterranean feel, especially with the terrace open in summer and the gorgeous views of the temple clashing harmoniously with the steel and glass buildings of the 21st century during a sunset. A metaphor for this fast growing city - nothing else like it! The wine list is long and you'll have great choice. The list of food to choose is equally long and I could just eat only the appetizers all evening long. Hint: Reserve a table on weekends is my advice.

Veranda came recommended from some friends of ours in the USA that visited Ulaanbaatar. Great cozy place to have a nice dinner and enjoy looking over the Temple as the sunsets. Highly recommend the Lamb Steak and the Ribeye with Bone Marrow.

I was wondering if I could find an italian style Pizza in UB at all, well, at Veranda i found a very good one alongside with other splendid meals, the actual 'veranda' must be wonderful in summer.

Pretty great restaurant and really nice food. I ordered the pasta which W interestingly quite spicy but still delicious. Ambience is also very nice and staff are polite.

Great pastas, good wine. The salmon risotto was phenomenal. Wait staff were very nice and attentive. Would definitely go back again.

Home made pastas are excellent, if not particularly Italian tasting. Amatriciana has some serious heat. Duck confit was a bit bland. Reasonable wine list of big brand wines from Oz like Penfolds and Henschke. We love the bin 2.

Very good restaurant, with a really nice veranda (thus the name), but we found the food quality mediocre. Enjoyed the experience nevertheless, and would recommend to friends.

Spirit of Italia in the center of Mongolia. Tried pizza, two types of pasta and risotto - everything was great. A bit expensive compare to other places though, but at least they have a set of different pos machines to make sure you can pay your credit card (unlike some other places when pos terminal displayed some error for my Australian card and they didn't have any alternative other than cash).

My favourite racist restaurant. I call it racist, coz i noticed it's easier to get a seat when you're not in a fully local group.. steak is great. Wine is usually store price+tax, love the lava cake, although sometimes it comes overcooked, but i don't mind. Call for reservations. Price is on the high side. A normal dinner for two with wine would be at somewhere 150K tugrug. Service is great.

The maitre'd is so sweet. they constantly change their menu with seasons and add new dishes all the time. comfy vibe.
