Everything was excellent, the staff were great, the food was very good. Only minor problems in the room, for example shower drain not working and a light bulb in the ceiling was not working. It would have been good to inform at time of booking that the spa is closed. Otherwise a very good stay!

The Hotel was very nice and a welcome after spending several days traveling in other places in Mongolia. The food was good and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were extremely helipful and very accommodating to my request. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Ulaanbaatar.

The hotel is very nice and the staff friendly and forthcoming. A suggestion about the fruit in the room maybe the customer should be asked what his preference would be in this way he or she will eat it. This could help to avoid food waist

It was very comfortable stay and easy to communicate in English. However just only one thing, the reservation of meeting room at Horizon club, the communication between your colleagues has not been communicated well, thus I did have duly problem to start TV conference with overseas persons. Hopefully it will be set better for next opportunity.

Our stay at the shangri-la was spectacular! Awesome service and we used it as a launching pad to Siberia and the rest of Mongolia. Super friendly staff and beautiful rooms with plenty of toiletries. It’s not the most central location but everything in downtown Ulaanbaatar can be reached within a 15 minute walk

Overall a comfortable stay. Good quality beds and bathroom accessories. But upon checking the bill at Check-Out, i found that i was charged for drinks at the lobby cafe even though i had booked Horizon Club and was entitled to free drinks during the evening. While this was immediately corrected, it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

The hotel experience was excellent as always, staff were courteous and remembered me from the previous stay. I must however complain about the Hutong Chinese restaurant. The service there has been progressively getting worse. I was with some people there the other night. Service was slow and when they finally brought out food out, it was not what we ordered and they told us that it was ok and that we would enjoy it anyhow. There was a long period when there was no wait staff in the restaurant and when I had to pay my bill, I had to go and find some staff, who where near the kitchen area talking to the cook. Overall a disappointing experience and not of the standard I expect of the Shangri-La. This is not an isolated case and I have had similar complaints from other residents of Ulaanbaatar. I will continue to be a loyal customer to the hotel but I will not be patronising Hutong.

Having become a Golden Circle member I am treated to personalized greetings cards and fresh fruit.

The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Today the front desk staff (family) recognized my once a year special day with a personalized card and cake.

A true 5-Star hotel in service and decor.

This is the highest-scale hotel in UB, and the restaurant is incredible. It's pricey, but most of the staff speaks English and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend the restaurant, some of the best food in UB is available here.

Had lunch at the restaurant on the 1st floor. Was amazing. Food was delicious and the service was excellent! 10/10 would recommend!
