Historical place for Buddhist.
very nice place
On the other side of the mountains that face onto UB, you’ll find this once glorious monastery. You can’t help but get chills as you walk up to what’s left of its former glory knowing that the complex was burned and monks butchered. Such peaceful surrounds make it difficult to comprehend. Apparently, it is possible to walk through the hills to get here from UB but you need a day.
Hidden gem outside of UB. You have to drive or get a taxi to take you to the other side of Bogd Khan mountain. Quite and serene place.
A beautiful hiking destination with a lot of historical presence
Wonderful place.
this is kind of historical place in Ub city also u can get fresh air while doung the jogging on weekend with hiking clubs
Simply the best day hiking destination near UB.
About an hour outside of town, Manzushir Monastery is a location that reminds you of the enduring strength of Buddhism in Mongolia, as well as the Communist efforts to remove it as a factor in the life of the people. The site is lovely - a nice walk in from the car park/parking lot, a small older museum on site with wildlife displays. Some are tatty, but it is an interesting building - and for less than 50 cents admission, worth the visit. The same 50 cent admission gets you into the temple museum further up the hill.
Calm
historic landscape in middle of beautiful nature
