Love this museum! You should see all the rare coins, Chinggis Khan, Ogodei stamped, also the Bizanthium and Roman coins found from the biggest tomb found in Central Asia. Great place!

Great museum with lots of information but not much to read. We were lucky to discovery it with our guide so we had lots of explanations.
it is a great place to start a trip as we learn lots about the culture and history.

The museum was built with help from Japan. There are many English translations for the panels/labels but some are poorly done. Nevertheless, provides a good overview of the area's history for the uninitiated. It also has slow wifi, a decent souvenir shop which accepts credit cards, and clean toilets.
