I dont have a bad word to say about golden gobi. They picked us up from the bus-station without us even having to ask. Their tour manager pulled together a 7day tour around central Mongolia on a 2 days notice, and the guide and driver was amazing! I would definitely recommend this to all people who are interested in seeing mongolia with ulan baatar as their home base!

I was there june 2016. The place is good for the price, they pick you up at the station, breakfast, etc. But, the women ruling the guesthouse were very antipatic and depression, always in a rush and of course their tours are "the best"

Very helpful and accommodating if you want to book tours with them. We did a 1 day tour and a 3 day / 2 night tour and they were awesome. Booked a private room while staying at the property and it was quiet and clean and very relaxing. Breakfast was basic and satisfying. All staff were great. Would recommend.

Clean and cheap, good breakfast, people are very kind. We also went on a 16 day tour with Bogii, who is a fabulous cook and a perfect guide!!! We had a very very great time with her and our superdriver, Ogii.

The actual guesthouse is quite small with only a couple of dorms and a couple of private rooms. The manager of tours, Ogie is the gem of this place. I imagine that getting her attention during peak summer tourist season would be neigh impossible. But if you have time she is warm person who is passionate about her job. Great yarns. Thanks Ogie.

Nice hostel, clean toilets and showers and staff is super friendly and ready to help with anything. Beds were really squeaky, but comfortable. Atmosphere is okay

Nice atmosphere, secure rooms. Maybe the cleanest hostel I've stayed in. The cleaning staff are vigilant! Best shower I've had in Mongolia, too. Also, the free breakfast is quite nice. :) They kinda scalped me on the cab to the airport though (35,000, when the going rate is closer to 20,000)

Good place to meet other travelers and getting ready for a tour. however, the owners are a bit tough and once they realize you're not booking a tour with them they'll ignore you.

This place was great for using as a tour operator. The hostel I was staying at dropped the ball a few times to many in reserving tours or activities. The people here at Golden Gobi were very helpful when I needed something last minute. There prices were also much better. Even offered to pick me up at my lesser lodging.

Very busy hostel. Popular tour operator runs from here so high turn over of people. Simple breakfast of fried egg and bread. Not many toilets and showers so expect a wait. Good location. Free pick up from train but not drop off.
