Excelent value for money. Single room for $13 including breakfast which laft breakfast in all australian hostels ashamed!!! Also free drop off to the train station!!
Bathrooms requires more attention but that is common issue of hostels in Asia.response / report this review -

Probably the best place to stay Ulaanbaatar. The place is cheap, rooms are OK, breakfast served by them is good and the staffs are amazing. The hotel owner Jaaga is one of the nicest person on Earth. Whatever you need, just ask him. He will help you no matter what's the time is. And the location is very good. It's really close to Ramada hotel. I loved the place. If I ever go to Mongolia again, I'll stay at Danista for sure.

I stayed here for two weeks and I highly recommend this establishment. I stayed in the dorm and it was clean and secure. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. They provide SAME day laundry service.The staff was very helpful and all of them speak English. The breakfast which they serve is sufficient. This hostel is located two hundred meters north of the Ramada hotel in Ulaanbaatar.

Danista has very good value for its basic but clean and sufficient rooms.
The staff is the most friendly and helpful! Jackie and Jura helped me arrange and customize day trip to Terelj Park. When I also wanted to do a trip to Gobi by flying to Dalanzagad, they even helped me arrange a tour with a local company there so it's less costly for me than using their driver in UB. thanks for all your help guys, and the breakfasts you packed for me when I have early flights was super sweet :)response / report this review -

The owner is really friendly and caring, and there is even a cute 5m ger/jurt in the breakfast room where you can sit in to eat. It is clean an ose to shops and restaurants and they organize tours. Only drawbacks are, that there are no curtains around the beds in the dorm and I only found a microwave and no real stove. In spite of this I recommend the place! Go there!

We stayed in Danista a few months agowhat a great experience! The staff was friendly and professionalespecially the owner. We initially booked for a week stay in UBbut had change of plans and wanted to explore the countryside. The owner was nice enough to accommodate our needs and gave us a great itinerary/tour in the Gobi and Ugii lakehe was very patient with my husband who likes to ask a million questions. Our tour driver Tander was excellentI really enjoyed our time with him! The host families were great as well. The owner even provided us a complimentary room to shower and refresh when we got back from our gobi getaway. Highly recommend this place.you will love your stay with them!

The staff went out of their way to make it a fantastic stay! Comfortable beds, good wifi, free breakfast (not terrible, not great), lots of hot water, easy walking to a grocery store and restaurants.

Pretty close to downtown. Cozy and clean rooms, the host can speak perfect english! Def great place for backpackers!

Good:
Room is spacious, clean and well ventilated and warm enough at night
Service is extremely excellent, host is very nice and patient an provided us with a lot of help currency exchange and buying train tickets
Pick up and drop off service from train station
Luggage storage till 8pm on the day of check out
Free breakfast
Close to big supermarket
Wifi is quite fast
