  A good memorial place for late UN Secretary General U Thant of Burma, where he used to live when he serve as PA to Prime Minister U Nu, the first prime minister after independence from Great Britain.

  The House of the late UN Secretary General U Thant. The house is now renovated by Yangon Heritage Trust founded by Thant Myint-U, the author of River of Lost Footsteps and the grandson of U Thant.

  A very interesting visit, House has been well renovated and information displayed is interesting. I found reading copies of correspondence about the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis particulary illuminating.

  A lovely colonial house and inspiring homage to a peacemaking genius who helped save the world from destruction in the '60s (you'll see). Note that Google Maps does not show the road (as Feb 2017). It is a lane with a dead end which branches off Inya Road, just north of Sakura Residence. You will see the signs from there. Entry is free, but a donation is merited.
