public transportation to and from Mandalay only eastbound and westbound, slow time consuming but worths sightseeing.
A typical Myanmar town train station. If you're coming from Hsipow it will take almost 1,5 hours for the train to Mandalay to start. Take a walk outside, there is a small market near by. Food, drinks and flowers available.
Good historical place. Nice & good looking.
Tickets for 'Up' (North-bound) trains available from 4pm the previous night. Trains frequently delayed by a few hours. The station master's chalkboard indicates current estimates.
Toilet facilities available.
It's a train station so nothing too exciting, a small shop and the usual weirdos hanging around.
Nice to be around when the train arrives and the sun set. Who would of thought to see it there! And the people forgers and other. Even dogs are waiting for the train to arrive.
