Don't bother with the museum. If you're a foreigner they'll try to charge you an exorbitant price to enter a tiny building with a few artifacts, while locals get in free. Then they'll try to charge you again just for looking around the site. So much for an interest in preserving and disseminating knowledge, more like another tourist scam. If really interested just keep driving past the museum and check out the few old ruins. Or skip and go to Bagan, same thing but much much better.
