  Very interesting lotus and silk factory. Demonstration and possibility of purchase at the store. Very high prices but very beautiful pieces requiring months of work.

  Interesting to watch how the silk strands can be made into thread and then woven into fabrics. This is a specialty in this area. The fabrics are expensive. They are all for export to Japan.

  Kho Than Hlaing - silk & lotus weaving workshop. Well worth a visit to see how these wonderful craft products are created. The waterways around here are also amazing.

  Interessante workshop waar ze demonstreren en uitleggen hoe ze van stengels van waterplanten als lotus draden halen en deze spinnen tot dikkere draden en uiteindelijk weven in allerlei lappen voor diverse gebruiken.

  See how lotus fibre is rolled into threads and woven into scarfs on wooden looms. Sold at the shop there. Unique gift, but very expensive (up to 400 USD for a scarf)
