Beautiful temple, try to arrive there late afternoon to meet its poudre-white pagodas in the rays of the setting sun. Gorgeous!

I admired from afar rather than actually enter the complex

This is actually a better sightseeing experience than Mandalay Hill due to the fact it sees far less visitors. Not much shade around the large central stupa, so go earlier in the day to beat the heat.

The design of Sanda Muni is very close to that of Kuthodaw, but since it's so close, our driver dropped us off there too and we walked through it. Equally beautiful~

This pagoda has a lot of little mini structures that house stone slabs with scriptures. There are over 1000 of these surrounding the pagoda. Very cool sight to see!

Home to the "world's largest book" - housed as stone tablets in rows of gleaming white pagodas. Truly a sight to behold. There's a nice vantage point just a short way up nearby Mandalay Hill too!
