We decided to give it a try despite seeing a long and detailed 1-star review on Google. It was written in a language we couldn't understand, unfortunately. We order a spaghetti Aglio Olio and another pasta dish with sardines. When the dishes came out, I was appalled by the Aglio Olio. It was the saddest plate of Aglio olio I have ever seen. A pile of spaghetti thrown haphazardly on the plate, garlic that hasn't been cooked till a nice golden colour, two small green chillis whole, and cut down the middle. No sign of any cheese, or any other garnish. The owner came by and asked if we liked the food, and I told her I didn't. She was surprised. Pointed to the garlic and chili, stating that all the main ingredients were there. I eat Aglio olio all the time, and I know it isn't a complicated dish, but I told her I felt like this was merely pasta mixed with oil. And she angrily told us that they took the effort to cook the pasta from scratch, as opposed to microwaving it - and so we were supposed to love it? She stomped away angrily having done no service recovery at all. There's plenty of great food in New Bagan, don't waste your time and money here.
