  I like the food and the ambience at ROOT. Cocktails are so so. We tried the grilled fish and it was an excellent choice. The pumpkin rice was excellent too. The beef jerky was a little too tough for me. Waiters were really nice and service was good overall. The only problem is ROOT is very pricey. Our meal for two with two drinks each turned out to be more than $50USD (that's more than average daily wage in Yangon). Expensive by Yangon standards and I think there are better restaurants out there to spend your moolah. But still giving it a 4 star because the food was good.

  Great experience. It’s so hard to come by a restaurant of this standard in Yangon that i’d say it’s a gem. Excellent service from multilingual staff, delicious authentic food from Wa state, and conducive ambience for conversation.
  
  Must try the charcoal grilled meats. Flavoursome to the very last bit.
  
  Their Wa speciality cocktails are also highly recommended. A taste of rural specialities without the hassle of travel.
  
  Prices were reasonable too.

  Delicious food from the northern region as well as great cocktails I would go back every week! The mashed potato is gorgeous, as are the chicken wings and try the recommended cocktail of the day too!

  Good-tasting and hygienic Wa Good From Shan State in a trendy bar setting. The cocktail menu is also decent with a number of interesting inventions using Wa brandy made out of barley.
