Unless one wanna go crowded Kalaw Bazaar to try traditional Shan food, this is the best place for genuine taste of Shan food. Besides, price is reasonable and wide range of menu is available. Sometimes at peak hours, waiting time is long.

I tried Myae Oo Myee Shay. Soup is unique. Staff are very honest when I ask for recommendation.

Not as good as what I expected after reading comments on internet. But I have to say that it was correct. The service was good also. I recommend you to take an ice cream in Richard's Inn hostel after that !

Best noodles I had in Myanmar! Titi, the owner of the Golden Inn hostel recommended me that place and is very cheap and very tasty! Staff is super kind and funny 😊

Best food I had in Myanmar so far! Definitely go for the Shan Noodles!! And of course Green Tea Leaf Salad. The spicy Shan Malar Curry was delicious as well. Very nice people and creative bottle opener 😉

It is overrated !
Food tastes so so. Nothing to write home about. Price is ok but I would not say “cheap.”
Although there are several waitpersons, they don’t seem to be working cooperatively. Orders took long and had to remind them a few times.
Disappointed, really!
Tips >>> Go to the noodle joints in Kalaw Market instead - better taste, cheaper price and quicker service.response / report this review -

Authentic local cheap and tasty. If you don't like fish meatball, chicken liver meatball or tofu in the soup don't order meat clay pot. It's a soup full of meat, egg, watercress, meatballs etc. No noodles though.

Very good traditional Shan Noodle house but very tasty. It offer in 2 order size of big and small. Total with 3 varieties of noodles to choose from, namely sticky rice noodle, mee Shay and water rice noodle. The noodle is For the gravy they offer chicken and pork. Personally the sticky rice noodle taste the best but the new shay noodle is more springy.

Decent food, a bit on the bland side though. Prices were solid, with a bowl of shan noodles and a salad totaling 1200 kyat. Not worth the walk from the other side of town but perfectly fine.
