We had a very enjoyable stay here in January. Our first room was too small to lay both our suitcases down to unpack and there was a very high step (more than 1 foot) up into the shower area and my partner tripped over this in the night. I think the design of this room may have been compromised by being adjacent to the lift shaft. However, as soon as another room became free on the second night, the staff moved all our belongings to a much larger and better room at no additional cost. The hotel is convenient for seeing all the most interesting parts of Mandalay and the hotel staff were all very helpful.

It is fine and commensurate of a 3-star hotel. Breakfast is a about the same., not bad and not great. Staff is nice as one knows about Myanmar people :-)

Mid range budget hotel with views of the Mandalay Palace walls and Mandalay Hill (from level 3/4). The hotel is clean with friendly staff and a great breakfast. What let the Palace View down a little for us was the mould in the bathroom - we were on level 1 so the problem might only affect this floor and breakfast in the morning being completely finished by 9am but other than this I'd recommend staying here and using it as a base for exploring Mandalay. (Tip - the hotel tours and taxis are expensive so shop around for cheaper prices. Checkout a place called Rainforest restaurant the owner does decent deals on tours. Also the entrance to the Mandalay palace is 2.5kms from the hotel (entry from only the east side)
