Das Schiff nach Mandalay ist super, sauber, gutes Essen und ruhig. Als wir in Bagan ausgestiegen sind forderten alle Taxis 15 USD für den Transfer. Viel zu viel, höchstens 8 USD bezahlen oder eben 80'000 Kyats. Beim anlegen waren viele Kinder für Essensreste am Betteln.

Nothing much here apart from a desk demanding £20 to enter the bagan area. It's criminal as only 2% goes into preserving the historic area. Most goes to the government.
The boat from/to Mandalay is nice.

There's not much to it. No shops. No amenities. Just a place to catch a ten hour scenic boat to Mandalay which is a great alternative to going via bus.
