They let me check in at 5am and didn't charge me more. Staff is extremely friendly. If you take a tour, make sure not to buy silver chains at a market: a lot of it is fake.

It's a guest house, not a hotel. Simple, friendly, daily housekeeping. It could probably use some re decorating but it's clean and tidy. The rooms are large enough, mostly no air conditioning except in the more expensive ones. Well placed for boats to the lake, and plenty of bikes for hire just opposite. Breakfast is included, and tea and coffee all day. Good value for money, and very helpful staff. The internet access is slow, like most places in Myanmar.

Really liked staying at the little inn. The staff is superb, overtly friendly, kind, and considerate and the location in town is great.

The room was exactly what I hoped for, and it had great AC and new lights installed the day I arrived!

Wonderful hotel with lovely and caring staff, great breakfast (with pancakes) and wonderful rooms (with hot shower). If you're traveling Myanmar on a budget, this is your place to stay in Nyaung Shwe. The staff will help you with and guide you through everything.
Rates in September '16 were 16 USD for a couple w/o ac, 10 USD for a single w/o ac.
