Fantastic space to get lost for a while. As the paintings are stacked and there are a lot of them the best approach (after you have browsed around for a while) is to view the catalogue in their iPad, point out the ones you are interested in and they will bring it out for you. Very helpful staff and collection.

The gallery is one of the hangout places for painters and poets in Myanmar. Personally, I think this gallery is much more of a home than a gallery.

The curator is also one of the most friendly people in Yangon. If one is planning to go around Yangon to satisfy her urges for contemporary paintings, this is a place she most definitely needs to go.
