It's a small riverine port situated at Maungdaw which is in Rakhine state, western part of Myanmar. It has conducted trade with Bangladeshi port of Teknaf since september 1995. It has also good connectivity with Sittwe which is Rakhine state capital and also with Yangon which is Myanmar's largest city and economic center.

Lucky to visit Mongdow town port. It't the township for the area. Have number of shops, bars and a water front restaurant. Liked the food and their hospitality.
Had a great difficulty to make people understand due to language barrier.
